![]() Anyone currently using or used a "PSRS" or "Anti-Lift Kit"..?
My DD GC8 (EJ257 inside) is currently running Whiteline Front Roll Center Adjustment Kit and was wondering to jump into the other kit mentioned above..? . As I drive in some of the crappiest streets/highways around.. i was looking for less pull on steering when i enter shi**y roads, etc. I have 17x8 (235/45), TEIN Super Streets, Whiteline's Balljoint/Tie rod upgrade and 22mm adj. SB /Perrin Links, STI Alum Control Arms up front. Just wanted to know if anyone (GC8/LGT/FXT/STi/WRX) is running the Anti-L/PSRS Kits on only setups consisting of at least NON-OEM Suspension/wheels and can provide me with any feedback. Thanks!

![]() The bushings will do very little for pull on rough roads. This is much more an issue with the tire/wheel package. As well, Subaru steering isn't exactly an anti-feedback type system, so expect some.

![]() After the install of Whitelines Roll Kit... I have to say the wheels feel flat to the floor at all times.. Tread wear is going well.. but, I still have some pull. Perrin's Kit claims to stop/reduce this slight pull feeling with the PSRS. I really don;t mind it... it just scares the shi* outta my old lady..

![]() The Whiteline ALK does increase your caster, so that will help in keeping the car going straight. Have you done the free caster mod?

![]() The additional caster and firmer bushing should help tremendously with wandering over washboards and reduce tramlining. I can't speak for the anti-lift geometry (lowering the rear of the control arm).. but the other two were true on my '08 WRX when I installed the AVO caster bushings (the front suspension bolts up a different way on the GE/GH/GR Imprezas). It used to wander badly over some rough pavement near my house.. then it tracked perfectly after the bushings.. the slight increase in NVH wasn't an issue.
That said, since you drive on such rough roads, I'd recommend one of the Whiteline kits rather than the Perrin PSRS since Whiteline uses urethane bushings and Perrin uses a metal spherical bushing. |

![]() I have the Whiteline ALK and it's pretty awesome. The car definitely doesn't track in road grooves like it used to. The brake dive and acceleration squat are considerably close to being gone. Only during the serious braking of a track day do I notice some dive. It also really helps getting power down out of corners too. I'd highly recommend it, it's one largely noticeable modification.
My susp mods are the ALK, fr&rr sways with endlinks, upper strut tie bars at both ends, Eibach Prokit sedan springs, Tokico D-Spec struts, H brace, and fender braces. So, I meet your non-stock suspension or wheel criteria. The car also puts down close to 290 whp with high 270's wtq. So the better bite in the front out of corners does make a difference. |

![]() Ahh, this is what im talking about... exactly the feedback I am looking for. Thank you guys..
Im hoping the car will track perfectly now, with these mods. The car only makes 320whp 93oct and noticed some nasty feedback when braking too.. less now with the whiteline roll kit..and hope to reduce at least 30% more and ill be good. Can you imagine my feelings when my wife is driving and we hit some uneven, groovy highway and she is trying to correct the steering with the most frightened look in her eyes.... HELL IF SHE WOULD SEE MINE...!! No LIE, I want to vomit.. i get so fricken scared...! I lean my seat alll the waayyyy back.. so I cant see anything. ![]() |

![]() im runnin 17x9s with 245/40s, stance gr+ pro coilovers sittin at 4" ride height all around... so i feel your pain here.
i got a p.s.r.s. sittin next to me waiting to be installed soon, hopefully thatll help with a lot of the major pull i get when im slowing down. usually its no issue but man is it scary sometimes when it bites hard/comes out of nowhere and i dont have an extremely firm grip on the wheel |

![]() Its was for the STi PSRS, as the WRX / STI versions differ. I just went to check and their server is down, my luck they are updating all the prices, So i can look crazy. The total was like $139.. The Perrin version has the rubber like bushing on that set, right? The 08+ models have a metal and I can just see that being harsh as all hell.
What the hell....!! I was searching to see if I can find the price noted in a search engine and found this.. I can just gut my mounts and replace with Perrin $22 Poly Bushing that will provide the same affect..!!! What the heck is the 3xtra $200 for.. anodized mounts..?? Isnt the part number listed the same as the PSRS system?? http://www.maperformance.com/perrin-...g-upgrade.html Last edited by krylon; 10-08-2009 at 12:17 AM. |

![]() Not jumping.. just pulling in the wheel... more of annoyance really. Like driving on a old bridge with grating, that slight pull side to side, its just lil worse.

im pretty sure that those red bushings are just replacements in the PSRS system for a less NVH ride. not sure if anyone has tried them on stock mounts? my PSRS actually came with a set of the red bushings i can try them in my stock mounts once removed just to see if they'd even fit |

![]() Honestly, I have to say it's probably one of my best purchases. Since moving up 235/245 tires.. it almost feels stock to me. High/low speed fairly tight turns seem effortless.
I was watching a short video today on how the Roll kit and ALK used on a stock suspension WRX w/ the Euro larger OEM wheels improved w/ good numbers to boot on the track. I was impressed, and now considering to give up my coilovers for my DD. Last edited by krylon; 10-08-2009 at 10:53 PM. |

![]() In no way am I endorsing/pushing whiteline products. However they are one of favorite companies, since they nearly started these kits from the ground up. I do wish their painted products held up better in the enviroment. On both my GC8's, all my undercarriage whiteline bits that I have, have seem to have their paint flaking off. The other companies I have under there, seem to be holding up just fine, with no paint flake or rusting.
