Except it’s not inexpensive. Good luck finding one for 23k. All of the dealers want 30-40k around here and then they fart around with the mandatory markup on top of that. A Ranger is pretty much the same price and better in every way.

More often then not Subaru owners (Around Here - Sierra's) like to keep their cars pretty pristine surprisingly. But it takes up a lot of allotted labor/paint hours per week. I remember when I was with Subaru, this couple had "gone above and beyond" with their Outback Wilderness with all this LP adventure Furniture, Lifting it even more to where there's literally 1 Finger spacing between wheel well and tire, Only to see it Extravagantly clean and taken care of to this day; around town.

+1 For the Ranger. Its a really nice truck. If Trump gets these prices down I wouldn't mind replacing the Hiking Shoe with a Ranger Raptor to have two trucks. Apparently Farley is Pissed about the Quality Control and Recalls of Fords. Issued a Warning to managers about Lay-offs if the Quality of the Finished product doesn't improve. (Lol we'll see how that goes).

Realistically going to wait and see if they properly Update / Finish Painting the Soft Refresh of the WRX. Zero Issues with my 22 Hiking shoe - Besides how Easily things scratch and look like trash due to Unpainted Exposed Plastic. Sure do love the Shoe Marks on the "Golf Ball" Exposed Plastic Rockers, that can't be fixed unless you buy a whole new Rocker Panel lmao. Can't even get away with using a Microfiber cloth on the Instrument Cluster without seeing tiny little scratches when the sun shines on it. Some of the Plastic on the exterior showed Sun damage pretty quick even with Garaging the car at home. But I expect nothing more or less for the price point. Even for 2025, Solid Price Point for what you get. Still a good little car. Could be Faster though. I wonder what goes through the Designers mind when the 0-60 of a WRX is only 3/4 to a Half second off from a current gen Outback XT.

The parts come from Japan and if you think a president is going to magically lower the prices of consumer items then I have some oceanfront property in Iowa I can give you a really good deal on.

never said he will magically do anything, but the last time somebody (cough obama cough) said he could not fix the economy, he did just that - magically. Lets not pretend we know exactly what will happen in the next 4 years, all we do know is most of the country wants him to do it. I am in a wait and see position. Everything else is opinionated speculation.

Considering a Ford F150 Raptor in 2020 was 57k msrp and now 76k (V6), and a 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro was 43k msrp vs 65k Now.. I would say this current administration failed miserably as far as inflation - Nothing Improved, only worsened - Food, Insurance, Medical, Housing, Rent, Utilities etc. We saw 2-4% Apr to up to 8-9% Apr across multiple brands. Unrealistic Pressure on automakers to meet Epa/Emissions standards bull-headed by CA Politicians. Meanwhile on the radio Every Summer in CA "Flex your Power, New Peak Energy usage times are.. etc etc".

I like EV's and Hybrids, but when it comes to the Pump, Its Govt that controls Drilling/Allocation/Pricing of Oil. "Well Air Pollution" - Okay well China Approving the Building of 300 (As of 2023 it was 246ish Approved for Building) New Coal Plants out of nowhere doesn't really fit the Air Pollution Narrative. In fact it sets back any Air Quality Gains made by the current Population of Ev/hybrid owners. Google AI says there 204 Active Coal plants in the US. So basically.. China is building a "US amount" of additional Coal Plants (243 Gigawatts worth of New Power), Not even Factoring in the Increased Coal Mining Air Pollution to Fuel these Energy Plants. China's Coal Power total is about 1160 Gigawatts according to google A.I. (It was 1,080 GW in 2021).
The US holds 177.1 Gigawatts of Coal fired power generation as of April 2024 -Eia.gov
Just makes the "air pollution" narrative for Auto Manufacturers almost cancel out by the stroke of a Pen from a Competing Nation. With this information, no one should be "Gas lit" into buying a car for the "Environment," when Actual Air Quality Gains aren't even Happening Period, and neither should it be "because of gas prices" despite those prices being Changed from Administration to Administration.

Either way - The Economy needs to be re-balanced. Like I said ".. If Trump.." im going off his Track Record, like I am with how the Biden Administration Steered the Economy these last 4 Years. The Outback is a good car, it will sell like hotcakes per usual.

When the cover comes off, I don't think it looks much like a Forester outside of a "similar" shape......which many cars have.

You preferred unemployment of 8% which we had under Trump?

You don't like the record setting level of the SP500 under Biden?

These statements are intentionally inflammatory only to make a point. Presidential administrations do not determine macro economic outcomes. Sure, they can have some influence, but only some. The COVID pandemic was the major disruption.

An example of this would be Trump's tax cuts. They absolutely do a good job of pumping up the economy in the short term, but they have long term consequences with an increase of the US national debt and a continued stratification of the US population with a concentration of wealth at the top. Eventually we all pay for those and the individuals at the lower-to-middle economic levels pay the most.

What we need is a balanced budget with reasonable taxation, something we haven't seen from any administration/senate/congress in a long, long time.

Take covid out of the picture, none of what you said is true. Trump had the best economy in 75 years until blue cities decided to lose their minds over how to treat a new strain of the flu, and keep business shut down, infect senior citizens, close schools for zero reason. Fire people for not getting a worthless shot. You can blame lots of things on lots of people, but the whole country knew the economy sucks now, and was better under Trump. Just look at the votes and it becomes clear. People are tired of lies and half truths. So stop.

I think it looks decent. Front end is sort of meh, but back end and side profile work well. Very Land Cruiser-ish with that belt line on the windows
