Default How to use high-level inputs on my 2 channel amp for a single sub?

Hi all,

I'm going to try using high level inputs on an amp I have for a single 10" sub. It's a 2-channel amp that can be run in mono by bridging the channels. My main question is whether I can do this...the high level inputs on the amp require both a left and a right channel speaker input. Since I don't care about left vs right, can I just run a single wire from a right rear speaker, then split it into two for the high-level inputs? Will there be any problems from splitting this source wire? Also, am I right in assuming that I can just splice into the existing positive wire going to the speaker? The amp's high level input connections have a ground wire built in so I don't need to splice into the speaker's negative wire at all. Thanks for your help! BTW, before people tell me to use a LOC...I am going to run RCA cables while I install this, so if the quality is not good enough with the high level inputs, then I'll switch to using a LOC with the RCA's.

you should really bring both signal. it's not that complicated and will lead to better bass. What if there's only bass on one side? you will miss it.

Definitely use both channels. What he said about cutting a stereo signal in half. You could be missing half of the bass.
