I'm all for Ford making a Fusion RS, and VW making a Passat or Jetta R. I know many love sedans. I just happen to need the 5th door for real stuff and have always preferred the look. I know to many hatches look like eggs or minivans. I've heard that sheot for 25 years. My first car was a GS turbo, then I traded it in for a GSX. Some of my friends were crying over it. Exactly. Is what it is. Find what fits you and roll with it!!! I had a Jetta and man if vw made a Jetta R that would be an awesome car. But that's what makes the world go round we all have different things to choose from.

I'm back after 7+ years since selling my 05 STI in 2010. And truthfully, I haven't enjoyed any other car nearly as much... That said, I want to jump back in.

Does anyone know when the '18 STI will land at dealers (without pre order)?

No new photos of '18s popping up anywhere? There were a few that people posted back in this thread from dealerships or on trucks. I'm dying to see the WRX in some of the other colors..

Most of the photos so far are between pages 64-84 somewhere (if you have 30 posts per page showing).

Also, would any Subaru ambassador please bless me with a coupon and PM me!

I am in NorCal... but more interior than you are. I would recommend AutoNation Subaru in Roseville, had a good experience placing an order with them.

The Bay Area folks I talk to seem to like Steven's Creek Subaru but no personal experience.

How about no...

Unless you really like working with the two most deliberately corporate dealers in Norcal with little to no regard for its employees or customers, then yes, buy from these dealers.

Plenty of horror stories out there for both dealers with a quick search.

Talk to Jeff at subaru of Santa Cruz. Very knowledgeable and he was able to deal a little bit, but he couldn't beat my homie hook up from seaside Subaru.

Don't go to Roseville.. I was gonna preorder there but he wouldn't go below invoice. Best I got was 32800. Go a little more north and talk to jerry at gold rush subaru. Gave me 500 below invoice. 31900.

Hey, my bad guys!

I'm a first time Subaru buyer, so not a lot of experience with Subaru dealerships, but I had a decent experience at AutoNation... frankly Gold Rush and Shingle Springs couldn't be bothered to return my phone calls and emails.

I mean, they treat you like you're an idiot - but that's every dealership.

Thats unusual for gold rush, but dealers are dealers. Glad AN worked for you.

Literally haven't heard anything about anything yet. Can't believe there isn't one press review telling of the suspension or tranny changes (esp the shifter feel in the WRX), the seats, the changed electronics, etc...

When will we? I mean you would think you'd get something before they open up ordering across the country, which they obviously already have.
