"Best hot hatch if your focus is on performance"

MF'er. Yeah and Mexico gets it but the USA or Canada does not. Crock of diarrhea.

Insult to injury is the HU. That could easily be replaced with aftermarket. GRRRRRRR!

No mention of the diffs so the Mexican trim is probably just the standard GR4 and they don't get the circuit pack. Either way, a got damn shame.

We may be moving to Taiwan next year for 3 years, and the GR4 has been announced for Taiwan. Downside is we need to fit 4 of us, and it’s $65k!

How’s the back seat, lol?

Saw that, and yep, disappointed and disgusted with Toyota NA (and US buying trends favoring trucks/SUVs/CUVs) all over again.

In addition to the exhibition cars listed above, some parts from the 2022 lineup of GR Heritage Parts for customers who truly love their vehicles will also be exhibited.

I think this is where we find out the exact engine specs of the GR Corolla.

All of those cars are quicker than my 50 year old datsun. But I would rather drive it than any of them as to how it feels and drives. Pure numbers do not make for a great car. The GTR was a numbers generating machine, yet nobody loved that car. People were in awe of it and people talked about it, but never really loved it. Rather like the NSX. Further, the LFA was not the fastest thing made, but its character and charm and build quality have elevated it to a legend.

Amen. And the obsession with horsepower and 0-60 has stolen awesome normally aspirated motors from us, like how BMW replaced the sweet 3.0L inline six with boring 4 cylinder turbos. People say it's mpg but that 3.0L when combined with the 8 speed ZF got just as good real world gas mileage as the turbo 4.

Only care if they are brought here and brought here in numbers that allow people to actually purchase.

"Fully Tuned" GR Yaris hopefully translates to "Basic Tuned" GR Corolla.

Yea, there are a lot of cars I’m interested in, but if the GR Yaris were available here, it wouldn’t even be a question. I have some friends in Plano that were able to ride and drive one of the Mexico cars. They said it lived up to the hype.

I’m not far from there and that knife wound still isn’t cauterized. So irritating to see something you’ve waited your whole automobile buying life come to fruition and get denied. But thems the breaks. GR Corolla, 86, Supra 6MT, Z, STi. What is it going to be? No clue but wish they’d release this **** so I can fixate, get my $ ready and get r done.

Damn, that is such a tease. When you say "ride and drive one..". Exactly which model are you referring to? The Corolla GR? If so, does it have the same AWD setup as the GR Yaris??

This is definitely a GR Yaris (3 door hatch) with some really nice aero modifications. However, here in NA I can already hear the "rice rocket" comments through a crowd of monkeys who think light to light and drag racing is the only that proves a car is fast.
