Default Just got my Impreza back from the shop..

About a week and a half ago I cracked the head replacing an oil pressure switch and decided just to have the head gaskets replaced.

After getting it back today I've noticed a slight delay in the the throttle and a low idle rate that I do not believe was this bad when I initially took the car in. When pulling into my driveway it seemed to stall after I put it in park and turned off the headlights.

Also, there's an oily substance in my engine bay, which I think is pressure washer fluid, but I'm not sure. Can I just rinse this off with water or something? It's burning in the engine bay and smells pretty bad, so I was thinking of taking out the battery and spraying it down quickly with a hose to try to get rid of some of that stuff.

Spray it down if you want or just let it burn off. No need to remove the battery.

Drive the car for a while and let the ECU adapt. Disconnecting the battery, as the shop likely did, will only prolong this process.
