B.E.

Thanks, but unless things get really bad, I think we are going to have to pass for now. The problem is she does not have her license, so to commute from Staten Island would be nuts.

I appreciate the heads up though.

Good luck to everyone out there. I would suggest trying where I work (Merrill Lynch), however they are threatening to trim the fat so to speak, even more than they already have. Still if anyone wants, I can try to get info on where to send a resume.

I have significant experience with all the technologies you mentioned here except C++. I do however, know C# and a little Java. Will that be sufficient?

Briefly, I am a programmer with 6 years experience (9 years total in IT) building web and client server applications using Microsoft technologies ie., C#, VB.NET, VB, ASP, SQL, etc. I have experience in all phase of SDLC.

Got laid off 12/31 last year and still looking.

I was offered a position at a company called Synygy about 7 months back. They're in Conshohocken (sp?) and seemed to be expanding rapidly. I declined in favor of another position, but it seemed like a good company to work for. Maybe you can try them.

I'd wish I could offer you a job at my place because I'd love to draw from your experience. I'm going on about 3 years of web development experience. Unfortunately there's no room now.

My buddy works for Synygy in Conshohocken. He just said they're not expanding as rapidly as they'd like, so try applying there!

Diego,

Your experience sounds ideal, but the job would be in NYC. Send me your resume and I'll see what I can do.

Sinclair (and anybody else interested),

I found out more about the customer service position. It'll be in our Teaneck facility (which will only be in Teaneck until August, at which point it will move to Piscataway). You'll be handling customer service calls regarding orders and technical issues for our keyboard trays and monitor arms.

I gave your resume to our VP of ops and he said it looks good... but then he ran out the door because he was late for a meeting, so I'll have to follow up for you next week.

Sounds good me to. Thank you VERY much! I think I also received a letter from your wife? Keep me posted! I am about 35 mins from Teaneck. I would have to travel rt80 east (not a problem!) from where I am.

I was just hired at a position in Dayton, NJ. It is a generic pharmaceutical company and they are looking for more research scientists (chemisty). If anyone has this kind of background, let me know. Please pm me or email me your resumes and we can discuss. Pharmaceutical Industry is hot right now...especially generics.

Default I'm out of work too.....

As with everyone else in IT - I'm on extended vaca also (started 4/1/03). I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I'm a LAN administrator with Microsoft and Novell experience - a ton of 3rd party software support too. I also have done a lot of work with remote connectivity and PDA support (including some of the new wireless devices).

Just got married in January and we're trying to buy a house - we can live on my wife's salary but won't be able to get the kind of house we want...plus I want to start mod'in my 02 WRX.

If anyone can help out - feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected].

Thanks,
Adam

I was thinking of changing my job but i has to pay as well or better. I hate my boss now (my father) and i dont like my line of work (bagel bakery). Hours suck and its kinda dead end. Im a fast learner, good with my hands, very intelligent, never went to collage for anything but have 4 years of Vocational in the auto and electrical feilds. I've workd on all my cars as well as friends and a have a year of experiance striping motors from cars in a local junkyard. Id like to get some kind of factory or assebly work since im good with my hands and I dont deal with the public well.

If you got something not to far from me (Jackson, NJ), i'd appreciate a IM or email me at [email protected]

Oh yeah, we're also looking for a summer intern:

Here's a list of projects I can think of at the moment.

-development of workstation design for assembly of products
-development of operational instruction sheets for assembly of new products
-administrating engineering change request process
-testing and development of new textile packages
-coordinating testing of new products
-managing returned/refurbished chair inventory
-helping with facility transitions (moving plants in Teaneck & Newark to Piscataway starting in July)
-general bouncing around from project to project as they come up

The job location would be between Newark, Teaneck, and Piscataway... all of which are in NJ.

We'd like to see someone with a technical/engineering-geared mind, if not background.

There will be more projects as time goes by, but this is what I can think of at the moment.

Default What's up all....

Hey folks I was also unemployed for a while but it was mostly voluntary...... lol. I recently started a business (see website) and once it is all together I can get a full time job again. I worked with a pro Import Race team and it was crazy, at first I was so excited but it turned out to be a very good learning experience. I got a ton of contacts out of it and am looking to open a performance shop in the future, I just need the $$$$ to start it. Any ways good luck to all!

Later,
Jay

Default Worst Time To Graduate

So I'm in the same boat as you guys except that I am just graduating with a BS in EE from PSU. Interned every summer since the one before college, have plenty of experience, but sadly nothing to match someone that has been in the field for a while. With the Tech market the way it is, I kinda wish I wasn't an EE right now. Ah well, if anyone is hiring college grads for EE/CSE/Sys Admin positions, can you shoot me an email?

Thanks all

Any former Lucent (Agere sys) people here? I was laid off right after the 911 deal. Still looking for a job that will feed my addiction to cars!
