Accepting VIP program pricing is at the discretion of the dealer, IIRC.

Regardless of supply and demand, an informed consumer would also e-mail (or call) a range of dealerships to find the best combo of customer service and price on the vehicle they want. For example, the BRZ will have extremely limited supply, and I've read of one dealer doing a $5k markup over MSRP and another one with no markup at all. To me, saving hundreds or thousands of dollars worth the few minutes it takes to write a couple e-mails. If the price is close, I'll go with whoever treats me the best as a customer (and I'll give them referrals and the first shot at my future business as well).

Why are people so interested in the BRZ?

For the same price, the WRX seems like the much better buy. I guess it's all just opinion though.

It costs $65,000, has a V8 engine and three-wheel drive. And Subaru only sells them to people named Andrew.

Does anyone have a link to the US governmental agency in which to apply for name changes?

A salesperson mentioned that more Impreza hatches as compared to the sedans should be trickling onto the lots in the next couple months. Apparently, and probably not surprisingly, there's more interest in the hatch from customers than the sedan.

This. happened about a month or two ago. Dealership meeting with SOA and it was decided to pull VIP Pricing on WRX/STi for the forseeable future.

I tried to order a 2012 or a 2013 wrx on saturday and was told no ordering untill probably the last week of July and then it would probably be a 12 week wait for my red wrx.

I was told no orders until the end of the year - you get what you get until then

20 mins seems reallllly fast for a spark plug change. A pro could probably do it in 1 hr min. Are you sure they actually changed them?

thats sounds about right on the dealer quote. no way they changed your spark plugs in 20 minutes. My guess is the fastest someone could do it is probably an hour. Sounds like someone made you sit around for twenty minutes, then stole 35 bucks from you, while youre still driving around with old spark plugs.

If they really dd canhge plugs in 20 minutes, then tell "RS Motors" to call up guiness.

Tell them to put your car up on the rack, then it won't be too low for them to work on.

How low is "too low"? Like, how low is your car? Your profile has no info, Rex218.

If it is too low to clear the lift, that could be an issue, and stock subarus are not that low.

My lower-springs on Bilstein dampers equipped Legacy isn't even that low.

Seems odd that they would turn down service department markup money.

but anyway, it is off topic, as this is mostly about what dealers are saying about new models and rumors of new models, rather than customer service.
