Yes. You should do the little m3 lip the sedan guys do on but cut it down to fit the width of your hatch wing...and wrap OVER it so it will look like one piece and flow with the black roof.

I wasn't sure if I was going to carry the black through the middle of the wing or just keep it white and stop at the end of the hood. |

Just cause it's pouring doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a good wash!

Here's a macro image of a what a winter in Maine can do to your paint. During the cleaning process yesterday, one of the yearly tasks is to clay-bar the entire car. In this image you will see a Macro view of my passenger front door. I have cleaned the whole area except for the one spot outlined as "non-clay area". I also did a 5x zoom on that area to show how bad the road salt can eat and rust stain your clear coat if not protected and cleaned.
I started to notice that after a good wash, the car still had a yellow haze all over. As you can see, this was caused by the small rust spots in the clear. After 6 hours of using the clay bar, I was able to remove all of the rust and small tar spots to reveal the factory finish! After the clay process, it is highly recommended to put on a coat of a high-quality sealer wax. |

Hey Overland, I don't think you answered this already sorry if you did, but did you get the dampers re-valved from RCE?

Or were you talking about getting your stock struts re-valved by RCE? My apologies if that is that case, haha - Jason |

Yeah you got me that was what i was asking about. I'm a little confused about this as well, but from my understanding, they re-valved the struts to match the Black Regular guy spring rate more closely. Initially the struts were for the yellows. Whats confusing is whether it's necessary or not, and what the benefit of doing this would be?

Getting ready for the summer wheels to go back on!
Hi-Temp primer and satin black paint to freshen up the DBA rotors that took a beating this winter. |

Though it would be different to have a solid black rotor, it's not going to happen by painting them, haha |

It's even why I chose to do a satin finish on the black instead of something shiny, I didn't want to draw attention away from the wheels and calipers by giving something else for your eyes to land on. A colored rotor will instantly draw your eyes to it and no matter how nice your wheels are, you'll only see the rotor, make sense? |

We designed the GTWORX/BILSTEIN valving profile to work with BOTH the YELLOWS and BLACKS.
YES at one point we offered a hand full of members who were self admittedly, very sensitive to the valving EVEN with BLACKS installed. Keep in mind of the initial batch of 100 sets we sold in mid 2010 only 6 members complained of it being too stiff. Literally the remaining majority checked in with us via PM,email, phone calls, at events etc with super positive feedback. The reality is MOST want this for improved performance and NOT having to get coilover We have NOT done any revalves in over a year and it is NOT necessary as the existing valving is fine for BOTH blacks and yellows. What one gets with the Black springs paired to BILSTEINS is a damper that offers a LOT of control AND more comfort than the Yellows which are on the aggressive side. (disclaimer: all references to BLACKS and YELLOWS is directed to RCE BLACK springs and RCE YELLOW springs). Had a bro roll up on me once " say my man, you said on the internet that Yellows are better than blacks..". I had to explain the whole thing to him. When we were done he wanted a Subaru WRX. Myles |
