This is a friend/colleague's BMW 535 that he's finishing up. Similar to you, he completed all the fab. The setup uses an aluminum block Chevy 5.3 V8 with Tremac 6spd and makes 650whp.

More photos can be found at the below link.

Thought I would share.

Ls2 alternator bracket mounted, ( had to drill and tap the top bolt hole for the bracket, not tapped on the iron blocks)

Thanks, same here, I should have some parts come in today or tomorrow. Being christmas time and now end of the month bills are due again so no more money being spent on it for a few weeks. Just wish i could sell some of my other toys then i'd be set.

Amazing build, I am honestly happy no one has flamed you for this build. It is patience and perfection written all over this v8, why did you go turbo and Not S/C?

Thanks, i was expecting to get flamed, actually can't wait till i mess with other subaru's on the road.
But superchargers are just pointless in my opinion, 100 hp gain usually. Unless its a procharger but 6K for supercharger is crazy money, i have less than half of that in my whole turbo kit.
Also superchargers put more strain on engines from what i've been reading. I've had a few supercharged rides, a old school chevy 350, and a honda b-series... Both were fun but no serious power. Turbos make easy power. Also supercharger, I would of had to hack my hood up.
i can't wait to try out the new precision cea's.
But turbos are just sick!
By the way, the intake manifold i got off the ls3 came off my friends 2010 camaro, he asked me what to do to his car, i suggested the turbo kit that is offered for it for around 6500 bucks, completely bolt on. He ended up buying a supercharger kit, ended up only making about 90 more whp, (spent 10k with another shop for this kit) . He came back to me wanting to fix the kit b/c it didn't make the power he thought he would get. Also the brand new supercharger was leaking oil. But I just like turbos.
With turbos, I get to do all kinds of fun fab work as well

Got a few parts in yesterday.... 15 gallon Fuel cell, some parts to finish up my front sway bar setup, clutch lines, and some weld on An fittings for my coolant system. So got a little bit to keep me busy this weekend.

I knew there was a method to the madness. Lol what kind of numbers are you predicting with the setup? Please tell me this will be a daily driver.

yea i'll daily drive it... my ls1 rx7 was as well, i know it went across country twice, 3500 one way in 3 days to cali, then to another new owner in North Carolina.

500 to 600 whp on low boost, 8-10 psi then may get a 15psi tune so maybe 700, just depends on what the a/r stays at on the dyno. just gonna tune it conservative and hope to have a smooth power / torque curve. But i know 500whp with close to 500 tq will be plenty fast enough.

Well been feeling a little sick the past few days, so only did a couple of things.
Welded on -20An male fittings on the thermostat housing and water pump ( Still got to do the radiator)
Also installed the holley fuel rails on my new Ls6 intake as well as my new 60lb injectors.
They are Siemens Deka 60lb, but will flow as 85.7lb at at higher pressure level.
Stats on injectors:

Static Flow Rate @ 43.5PSI ( 300kPa ) w/Gas: 60 lb/hr = 630 cc/min = 453 g/min
Static Flow Rate @ 87PSI ( 600kPa ) w/Gas: 85.7 lb/hr = 900 cc/min = 648 g/min

Noticed when i switched my welder over to do aluminum, the machine acts up, its been clicking inside, but welds stainless fine. now on aluminum it sucks now, so im guessing my inverter is bad. A few weeks ago i welded some aluminum and had very nice beads, but tonight it didn't weld aluminum that good.

A little 3/8 heim setup im going to use for my front sway bar setup. Now thinking about do a custom sway bar setup instead of the aftermarket one i have now, the ends just aren't shaped right.
