Hey Everyone I'm ChriStine and this is the story of my Endle$$ Addiction, also known as Fancy Pants

Going WaY back.....my first car was a Subaru and to be honest I didn't think to much of it at the time except that no matter what happened to the car it wouldn't die!
In the many years since my first Subaru I've had a lot of cars & trucks but none of them did anything for me and I wanted to trade/sell them after a year or so.

Fast forward to Sept. 2008 - My husband and I moved to Mass from Florida and at the time we had an RSX-S and a nasty Integra. The Integra was sold before we moved up here and the RSX was trailered up. I traded the RSX after about 2 months for a Jeep Commander (which I HATED!!!) and since I'm the office manager for a Subaru dealer I got him a great deal on a wrx sedan in Jan 09. It wasn't until the moment that I drove his wrx that I remembered my old Subaru and how reliable and fun that little car was.
Pretty much from the day he got his wrx I was always bugging him to let me take it to work and he could drive the Jeep that day fair trade right?????? He didn't think so either!!

Sooooooooo - After about 2 months of this he caved!!! I can remember the day like it was yesterday! I was giddy like a little school girl and couldn't get to work fast enough to talk to the sales manager about it!

On March 23rd - On my b-day, I placed the order to have my 2010 wrx hatch a.k.a. fancy pants built for me! Since Rick had the sedan, I knew I wanted the hatch...and no other color would do but Satin Pearl White! I was told that it would take months for her to come in but I didn't care - I wanted one off the truck just for me!

On October 21, 09 the truck pulled in with my brandy new hatch sitting pretty on the truck. I would be lying if I said I didn't take 10 pics of it being unloaded...like a dork

Naturally, I had to take it home that day...so everyone at my dealership pulled together and got the pdi done and the paperwork so this could happen. When I got out of work I picked up an SPT exhaust from my parts dept and shoved the box into my hatch and drove to my husbands dealership where he racked it and we installed the exhaust.

My love for my wrx was HUGE and I was like a proud mamma It didn't take long at ALL for the I wants and I needs to start up. Pretty much after the first week I wanted more power...better suspension...better BRAKES, etc, etc.

I try to do as much as I can to my car myself, and I am so happy to have a husband that is as helpful and patient as mine for the things that are over my head. I'm still learning and will continue to soak in as much knowledge as people are willing to offer me.
I don't track or race my car, but I drive the ***** out of it and enjoy seeing her all clean & pretty but at the same time I want to be in front of the guys not behind them! Rick and I have a little competiton going on between us ALWAYS!! even though my car had 1.2hp and 30wtq more than his and I pulled on him not to long ago!! Waiting for Franz to come up for the touch up on my tune with the fmic & other goodies to see what she puts down now!!

This past winter the car has grown into something I didn't expect nor did my husband I have been through several sets of wheels for her already, switched from an upgraded top mount to a fmic, and even changed the whole color of the car.....still the ideas for mods just keep ticking in my head like some addiction that I can't shake. Sigh....if only I was rich $$

Anyway...enough chit chat & on to the mod list & pics. I'm sure I forgot a few things on this mod list but you get the general idea.

Alright, I'm in! :-)

Cargasmic's Scooby History 101
Once upon a time, Cargasmic was 16, and she had a silver WRX. My test-drive is something I'll never forget; it was the night of a huge Chicago snowstorm! I had nearly died driving home from school because the roads were so bad, so we went to the local Subaru dealership. They had a lightly used WRX, and the salesman took me to an unplowed lot - HEAVEN! Love at first spin-out.

Fast-forward a year, and I ended up with a WRB STi. I couldn't believe how different it was from the WRX. This thing was a whole 'nother beast and my pride and joy for exactly 4 years and 4 days (yeah yeah.. I kept track ) I had that car all throughout college in California, did my first cross-country roadtrip in it (and several more thereafter), and modded it up just enough to make me happy without getting the CHP (California poooolice) too excited.

Then I sold it to go to business school! For a year, I didn't do so much as get inside a car. It was bus passes and my feet for me. After returning to the US, I got a brand spankin' new '11 SWP STi [!!!!]. All my love goes to the guys at Grand Subaru who were beyond top notch. I got the most unbelievable deal and a Scooby built-to-spec. I still have to pinch myself sometimes. They also kept it safe for a month at the dealership before I got back - so my dad couldn't abuse it.

Dan - best salesman on Earth - sent me a photo when my car was delivered, and it was my wallpaper until I came home.

Upon landing in Chicago, I went STRAIGHT to the dealership after not sleeping for three days and on either of my two flights back to the States. I couldn't wait another second. Give me car!!!

Only one week later, I took off for California to finish up my thesis and have some fun with the new Scooby out in mama nature! (and ski until July 4th..)

Then it was back to Chicago. These days, she's at 7,000 miles and takes me to and from work every day. Although we never exceed 10mph some days (like this morning***8230;#*%^), I lovelovelove this thing. I can't wait to give her a little makeover for Christmas -- I need that Scooby rumble loud and clear.

Here she is back home with my first love (and first money-sucking, bank account-eating, automotive addiction)

Mods: 20% tint and lots of love. More to come over Christmas...

Meant to post this @ the beginning of OCT. Fail!!! Even though I love love love my 11' STi and think it's a lot more refined than my WRX. I would like to enter my WRX b/c I've been thru a lot w/ that car and there is definitely a story to tell!

My name is Ta***353;a (pronounced Tasha) I'm 25 years old and I have been an avid member of the Subaru community in Colorado for a good 6 years.

From 2005-2006 I was the proud owner of my very first Subaru, a 2000 Silverthorne 2.5RS Coupe (that explains my nasioc handle) I LOVED that car***8230; but I have somewhat of a leadfoot and all that I desired day in and day out was a Subaru w/ a Turbo. It's always been a joke in my family about how much I love to go fast. When I was a kid, my dad would take me on his motorcycle with him & I'd always yell in his ear. GO FASTER!!!! Ha. Unfortunately... I found out the hard way, that driving fast EVERYWHERE does not get you ANYWHERE fast. haha. These days I hit the cruise control at all times.

So... back to the story....

I finally buckled when I found a CLEAN 2002 PSM WRX for sale in New Jersey. The odometer read 109,000 miles. It came w/ a replica STi spoiler, immaculate paint, a KartBoy short throw shifter and a Blitz Turbo Timer all for the low low price of only $9400. I immediately called on the car, put down a deposit and flew out a couple of days later to drive it home to CO. My brother and best friend came with me b/c I had a red license at the time and was unable to drive out of the state of CO.

About a week after we got home from NJ my engine started shaking really badly and turns out I had some bent exhaust valves. In fact, that was one of the first topics I posted about on Nasioc. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1024133

So i'm sure you're thinkin to yourself... she's had the car for 6 years and it's not as awesome as KatieO's or Pam_Cakes subies. Why not!? Well I'll tell you why....

She lasted a good 61K miles before the next major mechanical error/mistake & that is where our nightmare began. It's a really really really long story, so here's the full read: http://www.awdpirates.net/forums/vie...hp?f=2&t=36349

Cliff Notes:
Threw Rod in May of 2008
Got it fixed
Broke again In June
Got it fixed
Broke again in August
Got it fixed
Sued the original mechanic & won in OCT 2008
Still haven't gotten paid 100% of the judgement
Tranny broke in March 2011
Got it fixed
Tranny broke again 2 weeks later
Got it fixed
& NOW we're finally up & running again (She's a survivor)

So..... 17 sets of tires, 6 windshields, tons of door dings, 4 decklids, 9 speeding tickets, 3 engines, 2 driveshafts, 4 turbos, 3 transmissions and 111,000 miles later***8230;. Here we still are, together - FOREVER. Needless to say, it's been a rough road.. but I have not given up and I have high hopes for my WRX to eventually get a top end makeover in the years to come.

Let me introduce you to my lovely friend of 6 years, Miss La La....

Summer Set up:

Winter Set up:

My favorite thing to do in my Subies is go for a cruise up a curvy mountain road or just drive thru downtown to hear the boxer rumble bounce off of the sides of the buildings. I've raced my WRX on a couple of road courses before. Although that was back in the day when my WRX was stock and it didn't have anything wrong with it. In the future I'd like to give her a nice Purple Vinyl wrap and get some real suspension so that I can start racing AutoX. In the meantime ill continue to drive it as my DD and especially take her on fun drives up to the ski resorts every other weekend to go snowboarding!

I am also the proud owner of a 2011 PBP STi Ltd Sedan. I love the Subies so much that I just HAD to have a new one. (Back Story) In 2009 I purchased a 2008 AW STi. Her name was EeeeVvvaaa and I loved her dearly***8230; I just couldn't get past the fact that I could own a brand new Blurple STi. I sold the 08' to a nice man in Omaha back in November 2010. Then I pre-ordered my 2011 PBP STi Ltd. Sedan on January 3rd and picked it up on February 17th. She does not have a name yet & I might keep it that way.

The WRX and STi have a couple of friends in the garage... including a 1998 Black 2.5RS Coupe, a 2005 OBP Legacy GT and a 1995 Red Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec Motorex. Of course my STi and the Skyline go together like peas and carrots.... errr... Blueberries and Strawberries. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a51...3/5fb67f40.jpg
