Novice Summit Point Track Day
Ok MAIC I need your help. I saw an advertisement somewhere for a track day for Novices with instructors for Summit Point in either Oct or Nov for $100 for the full event. Im pretty sure it wasnt Track Daze but im not sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to make this my first track day.

It's not in the stickies?
There's tons of events at Summit run by reputable groups that have good novice instructors, and there are a ton of instructors in MAIC that you can probably get if you ask |

Haven't heard of anything at Summit for $100. That would certainly be a cheap track day. Maybe it's something over on the Jefferson Circuit.

In (I think) May Summit did a FATT for $100. It was the Saturday of their "Spring Festival". Maybe they're doing another one?

Yeah, spring festival was the only one I heard of. My last FATT was $260 because I signed up less then 2 weeks before the event.

Yea I checked FATT and didnt see it. Im pretty sure it is a series thats going to some of the tracks in the area. I believe I saw it either in the Porsche or Benz car club Event listing that they have on Google Calender.
Been looking for it for two days now |

NASA usually is just 3 sessions per day. So 6 for $330.

Yeah, I'd feel shortchanged if I only got 3/day. TrackDaze, I think our sessions were 30 minutes each. They were longer than FATT sessions. On the second day they combined the instructor and advanced groups so, really there were 6 session on the second day for advanced group.
That's a good reason not to run with Nasa I guess. |

I did an event with the Northern Virginia Corvette Club called "Cone Killers". Wasn't a track day per say, but was rather considered a "Car control clinic". Was about $150 and we spent half the day doing threshold braking, skid pad, slalom exercises and classroom sessions. The 2nd half was just doing runs around the Jefferson.
It was really fun and a GREAT introduction to driving on the track. I wanna say they do it every March. |
