Hello folks,

I just received my Subaru track car that I was lucky enough to snag. This is my first Subaru, although my sand car was Subaru powered. I decided to go from american based race cars to something I am hoping that some of you guys and gals might have some info on the car. The seller only had generic information on what the car had. I am hoping to get some more detailed information. Who tuned it, what software they used ect. Maybe if I get really lucky there is a build somewhere on here.

I was told the engine was seized, however after inspecting it last night it appears to be something else.

The oil is clean, I can rotate the engine with a ratchet but there is something interfering. You can almost hear what sounds like something falling inside the engine (best I can describe it as is if a rod was broke and was able to flop in a cylinder) Its not loud and if you rotate the engine very slow there is not interference. I do not see any signs of trauma to the cases from the outside, i would think if a rod let go that would make a window pretty quick.

Hopefully ill get the engine out this week and see whats going on. The forums have been a wealth of content for me to read and I really appreciate how involved some people are.

I like the white on white rims/paint scheme.

Welcome to the forum!

If you are on facebook, there is a northern nevada subaru enthusiast group that you can try and network for local subaru people!

Where did you ship the car from? sight unseen? looks like it has alot of potential and alot of money went in it. Usually a person who has built up a car to that level usually has lots of info on it. do you have the original listing or a list of mods?

also, judging by your garage, looks like you are handy with a wrench! I also live in sparks. I daily an SJ Forester, my wife has a 16 WRX and I have a built motor legacy with '08 front and rear. all of them are black, I try to wave but not many people in this area wave back...lol

best thing would be to take apart the engine and do an inspection and rebuild. looking forward to seeing you get this thing back on the track!

The guy I bought it from didn't know much about it, he didn't build it. I purchased it sight unseen out of Massachusetts. There is definitely some nice stuff on the car, but it needs to be freshened up. The engine was not salvageable, I'll try and post some pictures. I just finished the pink Challenger for my wife in August. It's Gen3 Hemi powered with a six speed.
