Default Independent Fog Light Mod Tutorial

Never saw any decent tutorials that walked you through on how to do the independent fog light mod, so I figured I'd make one! Should work on pretty much any subie up to 07.

Try it out and let me know how it goes!

Hmm, I'd have to dig into it to see. I'd say it would.

Nice walk through!

I hate wiring even though I've done my fair share of more complicated wiring modifications, lol. So I probably won't ever do this. Also you should mention that it is illegal to run fog lights by themselves in a lot of areas. Kind of a stupid law but it can get you a ticket.

Good evening everyone, I hope I'm not beating a dead horse, but I followed the directions for the independent fog light mod. It worked for about 1/2 hour and now I have no cluster lights and the headlights are stuck on high beam? It's a 2002 wrx sedan, the only thing that is not stock are Led 9007 headlights....... I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated thanks

I'd troubleshoot by reinstalling the OE halogen headlights, check the fuse in all fuse box locations (both in the cabin and in the engine bay), and see if the problem persists.

I follow a different independent foglight mod (from another forum) many years ago, and it still works. (this was also on a GD bugeye)

Yes, check your fuses. Also, with regards to wiring the switch itself, did you tap into the wires on the switch or cut and splice?
