Default H11 headlights/fog lights bulb

Hey all,

Went with new housing and adapters to put h11 fogs on my 2012 2.0i. the cheap bulb that came with the housing finally blew. Check pic...never touched it, but sure looks like a hot spot developed.

Wanted to ask, my oem Subaru headlights look to be about 3700k-4k color. Trying to get a better match than these cheap ones were. Anyone know the actual color range spec for these?

I drive lots of dark wooded backroads. The light I have now is usually good for me, but wouldn't mind adding a little distance and brightness, but don't want to replace the bulbs every year. Also, are the osram nightbreakers still the bulb of choice?

Have you checked out Tutorials on H11 to H9 conversion?

I searched for a the brightest bulb on the H11 category. Almost every bulb its very dim.

I'll wait for someone else to chime in.

To answer your question about the nightbreakers. I friggin love mine. Never had any problems with them firing right up and now flickering. Plus the kelvin rating is perfect and accurate. I tried morimoto bulbs before the Osram's and i went through 3 sets of returns to theretrofitsource.com before I said "screw it" im going Osram. You won't regret the purchase.

Like the look. What bulbs does it use? What are the lumens/color of them?
