Default Is my clutch stiffer after a collision?

Hey guys

My car got in a frontal collision in last November. I had to replace the hood, the bumper, and the AC compressor. No damage was done to the fenders, suspensions, or any other major compenents other than the ones just mentioned.

My car was in the shop for like a month, and after I got it back, the first thing I noticed was how stiff the clutch felt. I figured driving my wife's Mazda3 (with a very soft clutch) for a month must have spoiled me, and didn't think too much of it.

Now it's been over a month since I got my car back, and I still notice the stiffness day in and day out. But I can't think of how a relatively minor collision could alter the stiffness of the clutch.

If anyone can think of a mechanism where a collision can produce this kind of effect, I'd really appreciate it. I need to know how likely that is before I decide if and how I'm going to get someone to check on this. (And of course I could just be imagining all this too)

Thanks guys.
