I'll try to answer some questions, P.M. me any other's. Dont want to thread jack to hard.

2006 STI. 441's reduced the ride height by 3/4" front and 1/2" rear.

BFG Rivals have a nice broad range of grip. Reacted to driver input even as they started to let go (light howling noise), and recovered steering pretty quickly the couple times I turned in to fast/to much corner speed. It was low/mid 60's so I dont think the tires ever really had a chance to get hot. They were consistent from the first to the last (5) runs.

Cell phone pics, sorry

I jumped the gun and ordered a set for my 2012 WRX Sedan and is now currently installed! If you guys are trying to reach him now, it would be best to just called because its the LBGP (weekend) and he is in the drifting competition.

I won't talk much about the install since it is straight forward. I installed these today and will be getting an alignment soon, but from driving around on different roads so far I am loving it. It is not too harsh at all and I am currently at the default 15F/15R damper setting it was set at. The ride is stiffer than stock but there is a section of road that I take to work where I did not like how the car bounced around but with these it does not have that bouncing effect! I drove around for about 2 hours and so far no complaints at all and I do not hear any rattles or clunks!

I lowered the set 1" extra all around from the default it came as and currently tucks tire a bit. Here are some pictures!

Sorry that I don't have a before picture since my camera lens was not working at the time...

Thanks, yea I plan to raise it back up. I was mostly wanting to have it sit slightly above the tires but I guess where I was installing it in my drive way it made the rear look higher but after driving and parking it there it is a lot lower then expected.

Basically if you want to just be right above the tire drop another 1/4 to 1/2" and not 1".

It's going to be ruff on the highway and bouncy if you have it on a harsh setting but on soft it is manageable. Mind you your newborn is only gonna be a newborn for a few months

what springs do you have? I have the 8/6k combo and find the ride better (less bouncy) than stock STi struts. Firm yes, bouncy no.

My idea of firm may be different than yours, I used autocross a Saturn SL2 with custom AMR coilovers 7k/8k springs. Thats a car that weighs 2400lbs compared to a 3400lb STi with similar spring rates.

Particularly interested in your results as I am in the same boat (5x114 drivetrain on older/lighter chassis.)

I went with some Feal revalved struts which are great. I wish I had them valved softer yet...JDM valving is still pretty stiff.

My RSTI is limited to only fitting coils since I have a full STI drivetrain and what not.

Are these worth it? I know the BC's come in at a few hundred cheaper.

Or should I spend a bit more even then the Feal coils on something else?

yeah. just keep in mind that my 2010, especially with all the other suspension mods i have, will likely ride and handle differently than a GD with Feal suspension. they have different geometries in the rear.

Just chiming in...I just installed my coilovers, default springs for 06 STI. I have had them on for about 2 weeks now and am very happy with the purchase. I was on stock suspension with zero mods before this (suspension wise at least) so that is my baseline, vehicle had 118k on it. Ride is only slightly stiffer than stock but a very welcome change. I bought the car new in 06 but its been a while so hard to compare to fresh stock suspension vs the worn struts I was running on. I wont go into how it helped with turn in, mid corner, blah blah blah because I am giving my opinion and street conditions vary so much. Of course lowering your car and going from struts to coilovers makes a huge difference in overall balance, feel and feedback you get. I dont drive on the smoothest of roads I will say as part of my daily commute and these are by far not the worst on gravel or bumpy roads. They handle a multitude of road conditions very well. And my only other coilover run vehicle was an old 92 sentra SER on K-2's that was a track inspired car not a daily driver. I am very happy with quality of product, support, cost, and performance! Thanks Odi!!
