Default Rocks Your Stocks ... Top Scoob 015 (Polls Now Open for the Final Round !!!)

Sorry for the delay in getting our next round off the ground -busy week here at Top Scoob HQ- but without further procrastination here we go.

Top Scoob 015 ... Rocks Your Stocks is for any Suabru model currently equipped with an OEM wheel package. That's right, NO AFTERMARKET WHEELS !!! It's OEM Subaru wheels only. Make sense? If you have different setups (winter/summer for example) only post pictures that show OEM wheels please.

Perfect example... 2002 Impreza with STi wheels

Quote:
It’s easy to enter your car, all you need is a Subaru, a camera, a place to host pictures, and the ability to type a coherent sentence or two…

The requirements, as in you MUST HAVE the following to be considered.

  • No more than TEN pictures (that's the forum max) of your car can be posted in your entry thread, whatever you feel best shows off your hard work and imagination. Once the voting begins you are free to add more pictures. Bump away but try to think quality, not quantity.
  • A written description of your ride, the more detailed the better. We’re talking about more than just a mod list, we want you to share the story behind your Scoob. Tell us why and how you bought it, what inspires you to modify it, and what all you’ve done to it and why. Most important is to tell us what you do with your car...race, show, cruise, polish with a diaper, whatever.
Think of it as your own magazine feature, the better you sell your car to the masses the better the chances of your Subaru becoming a Top Scoob.

  • You're more then welcome to start a campaign thread in your Regional Forum however the General, Off Topic, and Gallery forums are off limits to vote generating threads. If you already have a thread about your car in the Gallery feel free to bump away.

  • Trash talking is not welcome in this contest. If you need to tear down another competitor in an effort to build yourself up please do not bother to enter.

How it works
  • This is a contest, open to all Nasioc members that own a Subaru.
  • You must be the current owner of the car, no third party entries allowed.
  • Entries must be submitted to a specified Top Scoob thread stickied at the top of the Member's Gallery. The number of cars allowed is limited to a maximum of 25. Any themes or restrictions on entries will be clearly described before the contest begins. For example: GC Only, or Wagons Only, or 100% Bugeye Free, you'll get the idea.
  • If you have an idea for a theme or feel like we're missing a part of the community, post them up here!

Voting and Eliminations
  • There are three rounds of voting, each lasting 10 days.
  • After the First Round the cars placing in the bottom eleven positions will be knocked out.

  • After the Second Round the cars placing in the bottom eleven positions will again be knocked out.

  • The final three cars will go head to head to head in a final poll to select who has the Top Scoob.

  • *based on our maximum entry of 25 cars. Knockout cut offs and the number of first and second round threads will be adjusted at the start of the contest depending on the total number of entries.

  • Votes are automatically reset to zero at the start of each round.

  • In case of a tied vote for the last transfer spot in the first two rounds, the entrants involved will compete in a 24-hour Run Off vote.

If there is a tied vote for first place in the final round, a 72-hour Run Off vote will decide the winner.

The story:

What's up guys, My name is Aaron and here's a little something about my GF Impreza

I actually own 3 Imprezas at the moment,

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...0Impreza/C.jpg
+
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...DSC05538cc.jpg

But out of the 3 that I own, the wagon is my favorite hands down. Sedan might give true jdm look, while coupe looks great, sporty and uncommon on Impreza line up. But despite all that, wagon wins it because she’s really practical and has so much room. When I need to go out to get parts from my local classified, she’s always there to carry the load. Once, I load up full set of wheels w/tires plus 5 extra tires in the wagon (it fits y0), also another time I managed to put jdm aluminum hood and front bumper complete w/ beam into the wagon

The wagon is basically what I use to build, and get parts for my other Imprezas.

Little history about the wagon,

She’s actually the reincarnation of my first Impreza, I had 98 brilliant red L wagon. That wagon was my first step into wonderful Subaru community. Little over a year, she was totaled because of my own stupidity; I was disappointed but learnt my lesson at the same time. I didn’t want all the parts on the totaled wagon go wasted (suspension bits + spoilers), so right away I start looking for its replacement. I like brilliant red color and would like to save some money for paint job, so my target was to find another brilliant red wagon. I looked all over craigslist but there was none around tri-state, until one day a friend of mine gave me a call and told me there’s a 1997 brilliant red impreza wagon up in New Hampshire. I called off from work the next day and head up there to pick it up, it was ~ 10 hrs roundtrip but it was worth it.

I slowly transfer all the stuff on my old wagon into the new one. As I’m doing so, I did lots of research on swapping my wagon. I know I will need another car to drive around when she’s down for swap, so I purchased another impreza (sedan). Time goes by and as you all know I ended up with 3 Imprezas now. My plan has changed for her; I decide to swap my obd1 coupe instead and keep the wagon as daily. She’s still strong and runs like a champ for 207xxx miles, I believe EJ22E is one of the most reliable motor FHI ever built. I haven’t done much on the engine other than oil change. The Mcdonalds theme seems to work well on my wagon and I always love JDM STI V7 wheels (heck at one point I even have 2 sets) so here’s my entry for this contest.

Thanks for Looking

Entries are now closed. Unfortunately we had to bump a few entries, either for lack of detail or not meeting the requirements. If anyone has a question about that please feel free to pm me.

We'll hold off on the voting until tomorrow morning to give everyone a chance to flush out their entries. Specifically, wrxodee, EMZBrande, wrxSIN, and v8upsetr. We definitely need some more information on your cars. Oh, and kevin05wrx, a picture of your wheels not in motion would be great!

Yeah, too bad. No one is rocking the STI Enkei wheels in this group and they are the nicest OEM wheels IMHO. The were available as an option on the JDM STI and FXT in 08. Next time Ferg.

Is there a list for what is coming up in the future rounds? I definitely want to show off the latest/greatest when the time comes.

Voted for v8upsetr. Nice taste in color combos. Maybe I'll see you around the island.

Here is a shot of the wheels I was referring to in case anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Gotta back the RMIC.

And old_duwel, love the look of your car. Your daughter adds like 1000000 points for cuteness.

It was a very hard choice for me.
Wrxodee's white sti looks A WHOLE LOT like my car roof vane and everything, so obviousy I love his
I love Wesley's red gc wagon, that thing is just GORGEOUS!
I really love V8upsetter's Black sti, because I have always loved clean blacked out subies, and his is extremely clean.
I was drooling over Old-Duwel's 94 RHD STI for quite some time.
But I have seen quadsbc's silver bugeye go through a lot of changes and seen it in person several times and I have always loved it. So he gets my vote

I wish I could have entered in this! But mine looks just like wrxodee's except wingless, so there woulda been 2 of the same cars lol
