I dont know what altitude your track is, but over here (montreal) a good pilot drove the type-r in the 14.4 sec bone stock , and when we remove the back seats, we was able to manage a 14.36sec.
For the GTi VR6, I race one with a p-flow, and he was doing 14.8sec on the track, and me, I was able to manage a 15.22 sec with my stock RS (in the old days. hehe). Most of the other RS over here run between 15.6 and 16 sec We are almost at sea lever.. maybe 500 feets over. later Mike M My world of car http://pages.infinit.net/subarurs/ [This message has been edited by Mike Moffa (edited September 06, 2000).] |

the driver was probably really good and knew his car well. A Type R should do about the same times with a decent driver. With a good launch and good driver, an ITR should get high 14's easily.

My guess would be absolutely no more than 100 feet above sea level.

oh a vr6 can do that no problem.. they got lots of torque & hp..
and mission is no more than 50ft. above sea level .. so the times are accurate. |

"15.2 seconds super fast" Heheheh. My old Integra powered Civic ran 14.2 with a stock GSR engine (and I thought it was slow). My friends Z28 runs 13.3 and it's bone stock except for the exhaust. It's interesting how everyone has a different idea of what fast is. I have friends who think my RS is fast and I'm sure it's a 16 second dog....speed is relative.

Anyone know when the next drag day is at Mission? We should all get together and go there for a few runs, a change from autocrossing. I haven't had my RS to the drag strip yet.

They usually have test and tune days which anyone can attend. I'll have to have a look at their site and see if they have any more this year.
