What I mean by revs- it's like I have to hold the key on for a while and it wants to turn on but it doesn't the first time. The second time I turn the key it almost chokes turning on.

I'll try what celery said with a multimeter. Cuz I do have a sub in the back but this happened even before that. I'm just worries as I just sent the last payment and my warranty is almost out!! I'm at 27k!

If you still have warranty you should probably use it

But the thing is I can't replicate that situation.. Doesn't it matter? I mean, will they just blow me off?

Honestly from what you're describing it doesn't sound to me like there is a problem, just hold the key down for a second the first time until it starts. I could be misunderstanding though.

Yeah I guess. I'll see if it acts up on me more frequently before I take it in. Anyhow, I'm excited now that I used my tax money for the last payment! I can now get some goodies for it! I'll Probably get an access port and the Invidia down pipe so I can take it to stage 2!

So I see all these dudes in the picture thread blacking out their headlights leaving NO reflective features. Does anyone have a comparison of light emission compared to stock housing(either 2011 or 2012+)?

I can't imagine it's worth looking "cool" to lose nighttime visibility. But I can't talk smack without data

Yeah they will blow you off if you can't replicate the issue although it wouldn't hurt to tell them about it before your warranty ends in case it gets worse later they might fix it for you if there was a complaint on file. Probably not though

I recommend looking into Nameless performance, best downpipe design I've ever seen.

mcuzzin, it shouldn't effect the projectors but the high beams will be useless, from what I understand.

Davin, yeah I have their muffler delete but only reason why I would do Invidia is cuz the access port has an "off the shelf" map for it. Otherwise I'd have to get the ap, nameless dp, and a custom tune for it. Don't really want to spend the $$ for the custom tune just yet for just a dp. Any thoughts?

^ Yeah, they might make slightly different power levels from a protune, but it won't matter with an ots map.

Yeah I ran a stage 2 ots map with my custom hacked up downpipe lol and it never gave me any problems. Now I have a tp tune with ebcs and it's pretty awesome

Not sure why Cobb says you should have a cat an Eric(torqued performance) says it doesn't matter

No it doesn't matter, but over boosting with catless is more common.

Because according to emissions regs you have to. For an OTS tune having the cat does make some difference, I stuck with a catted dp for that reason. Erics maps are set to allow for catless while Cobb's are specifically designed to have a cat

i haven't really seen any overboosting but I do have a stock midpipe and a 2.5-2.75" muffler so that might be holding it back some

I don't think cobbs maps using cats has anything to do with emission regs. I recall seeing for offroad use only in my manual or someplace associated with my ap.

I haven't seen any over boosting either in my 11 but I did on my 07....all the time. So I protuned.

from what I've read overboosting/boost creep is a physical issue with the exhaust, wastegate and turbo, not a tuning issue

I still haven't really had a concrete answer about why if I go much past 10ish psi at low revs in 4th or 5th gear I get like some sort of vibration. I'm surprised more people don't have that issue or complain about it

Tuning sets the waste gate duty cycle. If I'm not mistaken, you set the cycle to open too early you build too late and miss. You set the cycle too late youboverboost.

Obviously there are other details... I'm just understanding from cliff notes

it does but overboosting is from the wastegate not being able to move enough exhaust out fast enough which causes the boost to rise higher than you want it to. You can tune around it to a point but the only real solutions are running less boost or getting a higher flowing wastegate.

I agree with what your saying. But how it applies to the Cobb ap and the early stage 2 subies. It's tunable, I think (I'm told)

I've heard the grimmspeed ebcs makes it possible to tune out boost creep if you are catless. Catless+hi flow tmic = porting turbo or external wastegate though.

pretty sure that doesn't stop creep either, just gives you more precise control over boost to start with

http://www.grimmspeed.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=145

it might make it easier to tune but once the load gets too high its still a wastegate issue

I hope not, I'm about to order a Mach V EBCS and install my AVO TMIC and Perrin turbo inlet...
