The meth failsafe switches to an alternate boost, timing and fuel map on activation or when the controller is turned off.

The rpm pickup on the dyno was acting up at high rpm so most of the dyno plots have mph on the x axis instead of rpm but I do have a truncated C16 run plotted agains rpm.

This run ran out to 8200 rpm but the rpm signal got funky over 7600 rpm so they truncated the run. I really wish the would have started at the same rpm as the pump tunes

Here are all three whp plots on one graph, C16, 91+ meth, and straigh 91

Here are all three TQ plots on the same graph. The rpm pickup gets a little wonky after 7600rpm when the plot goes a little erratic

All I can say is C16 is re-goddamdiculous in this motor. The midrange is insane, the top end is insane and you can get the car sideways in a hearbeat with just a jab of the throttle. I do need to secure a few hoses for constant duty @ 36 psi but the engine absolutely love the good stuff. I've changed my mind about E85 and will be building my fuel system for E85 by next year just so I can get a little closer to the C16 feel everyday

Took a road trip from LA to San Diego this weekend for about 300 miles of pump and meth flogging and the car is just plain ole awesome in every way. Don't get me wrong about the pump + meth tune. Its no slouch but its absolutely no comparison to driving it for those two days with C16 in the tank. I'm already thinking about either going with the 8374 with EWG housing or just swaping out my current 7670 .92 IWG housing for the 1.05 EWG housing and see what 30 psi is like at redline instead of 23 psi.

The spool and torque you are making with a 75mm crank, no AVCS and legit large cams is awesome! How far does it rev out to?

Could not have happened to a more deserving person; congrats!

Rev limit is set to 8200 rpm for now and I'm cool with that. When I get a turbo that can hold 30 psi out to redline we will revisit that. I have about 6K miles on the MPS motor so far and the engine is a top that just keeps on spinning.

I only have a tank of pump gas through the car so far since the tune but I will post some boost plots up soon of what it does on the street. I should be hitting 23 psi somewhere around 3700 rpm.

People would ask me why I gave up AVCS and would I miss it... I can't say that I do with these results

I JUST noticed the IWG spec even though you repeatedly mention more turbo and EWG in the cards for the future.

I'll go ahead and say I am smitten.

Great results Kelly!

Are you still fighting the boost taper due to the iwg (small housing + 8200rpm doesn't help haha)? I noticed your spool with the .92 housing and wow, pretty big vs the 1.05. With your setup I think you'll like the 1.05 + ewg. You'll hold boost a lot better.

We were not able to hold anything over 23 psi at redline. I only have 5 mm of preload on the WG actuator out of a max of 10 so I may add 5 more turns and see where that gets me.

More importantly though, I need more fuel pump before I go any farther.

Wow, ya you need an ewg .....but true, not before fuel

You've got to be happy with that, such a sick setup dude!!

Here is a rough matchbot for my setup @ 25 psi. I need to tweak a couple of things once I get a new sensor for compressor outlet temp. That sensor decided to die on the dyno.

^^^^^^

Thank you kind Sirs. I blame it all on the combo of the 2.34L and a kick ass EFR turbo. Even with the falling boost levels it still kicks a bit of ass.

why did you give up avcs? not arguing the results obviously, just want to know the logic. you willingly gave it up, i dont have it in my car and am considering going through the work or money to get it.

I can't remember which pump but it's either the DW300 or Aeromotive 340.

The only reason I gave up AVCS was because I didn't want to spend the money for another set of PnP heads, valves, springs, and cams when I believe I already have some of the best heads on Earf. I figured with the 7670, any losses down low would be minimal. Good heads and headwork cost a bunch so in the end it was about cost control.

It spools a bit better on the street but here is a dyno log of the car hitting 24 psi around 3800 rpm

DI2 is meth flow if you were wondering.
