Default The dumbest WRX owners I've ever witnessed

They're probably on this forum. Anyway, now I know why people complain about "ringland" and "knock" issues. Our cars appeal to the younger crowd, and let's be honest, you're not the smartest at that age. These doofuses managed to take what appears to be a stage 2+ WRX to a local park, destroy the property, and then face their judgment 30 seconds later when the engine throws a bearing.

So, it's starting to make sense why people get engine issues. You have these idiots that mod their cars, don't change their oil on time / monitor their levels, cheap on out gas and decide to not use 93 oct., then bounce off the rev limiter for 2 minutes straight. Anyways, if you haven't seen it yet:

Sheesh.......wonder what the dealer will say when they see the bottom packed with grass and dirt.
Also liked checking the oil with it running.... and the vaping, etc.

Looked like Florida plates?

Thank you for your hard hitting detective work, wreckless wrx or sti owner- this is the first I'm hearing of it.

It’s the clutch bro. It must be the drivetrain bro. People like this give wrx/sti owners a bad rep. There are events for this kind of activity. You know, ones that are organized in a safe environment with orange cones and stuff....bro

I never understood this ****. If you want a donut machine, go buy something with RWD and a bunch of power. You can probably buy a 5th gen Camaro or a 5.0 for $10k now.

Or like the idiots out here do, jack it up and put big tires on it and pretend it's a Jeep.

Maybe, but they are not likely to have it towed to a dealer and say, "I have no clue, it just started making a loud noise, please fix under warranty."

It's not. The WRX has the FA20DIT. FA20 would be a BRZ.

This. 1,000 times this. Someone who works for everything they have would not treat their own things like that, nor would they treat someone else's things like that.

This is reckless, it's unbelievably stupid, and the bad reputation it casts on everyone in the car community can certainly have real-world negative consequences that impact all of us.

This is a sign from God that some individuals are better off riding the bus.

Maybe referring to the OT forum "FloriDerp" thread?

Frankly I can see this happening pretty much anywhere, sad to say.

Sorta hope any dealer service techs from the SE see this and wait for the car to show up.......

Nothing new here. Dudes do stupid **** with cars forever. They get what they deserve. Let's hope they learn from this, but after watching this vid I have a feeling they won't learn much just blame Subaru or the oil. No ownership these days just excuses.

There time will come.

This is exactly what I have been saying. I am actually impressed of how well these engines are holding up considering the crowd they attract and the rate they are molested at and poorly tuned. This is why I would never buy one used.
