Default Twe stage 2 cams, valve springs/retainer , Perfect Power

Well i finally got my car back. Car went into the shop for a leaking headgasket and a few other maintenance items.

2 weeks later came out with TWE stage 2 cams, Titanium valvesprings/retainers, cometic gaskets, ARP head studs, new stock valves (old valves were pitted somehow pics to come later), perfect power smt6 (rallitek), STi Group N tranny mount.

existing power mods: Cobb CAI, borla headers, 2.25 midpipe, scoobysport axleback, gfb lw/underdriven pulleys, exedy lw flywheel, exedy sport clutch,

a slight difference in idle can be heard through the exhaust note.

wow. The car drives great. Im not sure where the rumor of a loss of low end came from but i dont feel any loss. The car maintained all low end drivability. i can still start from second gear just as easy, so the torque remains.

car drives the same up to 3,000. At 3,000 you feel a hint of power beginning to increase ever so slightly. 3,500 you feel like the car is starting to come alive. 4,000 there it is! thats what i paid all this money for. The car continues to pull stronger and stronger all the way up to redline with no sign of leveling off. After each shift the car falls nicely back into the powerband and pulls strongly back up to redline.

I have to admit initially it was not the kick in the pants power increase that i expected. But the power delivery is fairly smooth so it is deceptive. It took a quick glance down at the speedometer (oops 70 already?) to realize how much quicker i was accelerating.

I have been experimenting with two maps that sean from rallitek gave me. One setup for a baseline 02 rs and the other for an rs with stage 2 cams. We found that the car was somewhat lean up top with the baseline map so i switched to the map specifically for cams and the car runs alot smoother.
right now im just datalogging and getting a feel for the perfect power. Dyno tuning will come shortly.

Slight issue with a rough start. (could be the perfect power).
Check engine light came on after first drive cycle. 4 codes, Misfire on all four cylinders.

Group N Tranny mount feels great. Nice and solid shifts. However, Does not stop the jerking motion as some have mentioned. Transmitts more NVh!

Everyone involved in the process was super helpfull, Dave, Richie and team at Metric subaru, Sean at rallitek, especially Jim and Tom at TWE. Thanks All

TWE superstock equal length headers and resonated midpipe were ordered today!
ill post some pictures of the car once i have a chance to wash it!
