Default Whirring sound upon start up

My WRX has recently been starting up with a sound that makes it seem like the oil pick up tube is broken or its sucking up air with oil, a belt isnt lubricated or something else (vacuum leak?). Its only during certain start ups but mostly during cold starts in lower degree weather. I would post a video I have of it but I cant figure out why it wont let me upload it. 25mb and it's an MP4 file, any answers to that would help my issue a little bit more.

Does it go away if you step on the clutch for a while?

If so, the noise is coming from the transmission.

This is somewhat common on manual Subarus.
