Default What Was The Most Miles You Seen On A Subaru????

well so i was always wondering ive seen a toyota with over 500K on the clock a hundai with 370k on the clock i know the guy personally!!!
and my favorite ive seen a 04 STI with 202,000 miles bone stock driven by a older man i did TILE work for believe me or not this was a year ago ..
here is the funny thing he never drove faster than 70mph and used regular [/u][/b]fuel and to top it of he said he will not sell the car

SO whats the most miles you seen on a subaru ?????

I knew a lady with a early 90's Legacy Wagon FWD with right at 350K on it still original engine and tranny. Actually she still has the car and it has been 5 years so she has to be pushing or over 400K now.

My mother in law has a late 90's Legacy Wagon with 300K on it. It replaced a Subaru DL with over 300K that she drove for 15 years on the stock drive train.

Our old 76 DL shop wagon had over 400k when the speedometer died, the beat up POS went for two more years before the parts runner ran it into the back of a toyota. the poor little thing was thrashed, and abused by a number of 16-20 year old kids for 11 years. The freeway went behind the shop, and I could hear the little 1400 rapped out in third as it went past the shop. not a syncro left in it. one time a parts runner called me to say that the engine is running hot ( on a trip to SF from sacramento) I told him to turn around and come back. he called about 15 mins later and said that the gauge was reading normal so he kept at it, 5 hours later he pulled into the shop with the engine smoking ( he said that it just started smoking) I popped the hood and the engine was smoking from the paint on the valve covers. we pushed it up on the rack and drained the oil to try to cool it down with new oil, the oil was so hot it melted the solder in the drain pan. I thought it was done at that point, but with a can of solder seal and a lower radiator hose it was up and running for 5 more years. the car was replaced by a 77 civic wagon, not nearly as tough as the old DL. I truly beleve that Subaru makes the toughest cars in the world. (just look what you guys put them thru)

In 2003 I bought a 1972 GMC Gaucho Van. The odometer had 240,000 miles. The title said the odometer broke in 1987. It lasted a little less than a year.

On another Subaru?.. we have a few regular customers at our shop with Legacies showing well over 300K on them..As for my personal vehicles, my best was a 1980 VW Rabbit diesel...Bought it with 638K on the clock; the odometer broke about 3 years later around 720 something, right about the same time the injection pump crapped out

a freind talked to a guy with a stock 02 WRX with, wait for it, 320,000 miles.... He does around 40k a year.

a lot of miles considering the car is an 02, about ~8 years old.

I'm way behind at ONLY 151,xxx on my 02.

I'm running at about 173k right now on my 02 WRX.
I bought it at 170k, so about 3k miles in the last 3 months.
Got ripped off paying $7k for it, but it was partially my fault cause I didn't know a thing about cars and really wanted one. Oh well, things you learn in life.

200K is nothing. I've seen tons of 300K mile subies. I've only seen one 400k car in person.

250,but then again..my tranny died. reverse was forward, forward was nuntural. It would skip and jump and finally, drive would lock up the engine and kill it every time it started.
