Speed tests with the PS5 are always slower than what you’d get on say a pc, laptop, etc. You’re connecting to their servers to test speed. I have dual ISP (Dual WAN) and my primary is symmetrical 1Gb. On a PC I’ll pull 900mb/900mb but I do not get that on the PS5, it’s always slower, and the upload is like 40mb. Trying running your speed test on it at an odd hour, like very late at night on a weekday.

The PS5 patch for God of War was released today. The full game is free for PS plus members (it's included as part of a free library of classic PS4 games).

Game is weird. I assume things will make more sense as the story gets fleshed out.

Go to the main ps+ menu and it's in a couple of places. You have to scroll down.. there's a ps plus monthly games section, and I see an advert for Control specifically

It's always kinda weird, but you get accustomed to it. Once you start upgrading your abilities it really gets fun

Ghosts of Tsushima is erroring out updating for some reason. I have it installed on an external SSD along with all the rest of the PS4 games I bought. Is it erroring out because the update is for PS5 and the game should now be transferred to the internal HD?

The game files might be there, but that does not mean the game is actually installed on the new system. Computers require registry and possible other frameworks to be configured to run applications.

I've got the rest mode issue with my PS5 (kills power & system crashes instead of going into rest mode). But it mostly only seems to happen if I put it into rest mode when COD Cold War is running. If I switch to another game and put it into rest mode - usually no issue. If COD hasn't been opened (or I close the app) it's never an issue.

I had a wierd issue similar to that with Modern Warfare on PS4. If I didn't specifically close the game out before going into rest mode there was a 40% chance when I tried to run the game that it would reinstall itself from scratch before it'd run again.

Have not had issues on the PS5 and cold war though.

I have been running the Samsung T5 for all PS4 games since day 1 with zero issues. I went with the 1Tb drive. It's plugged into one of the back of PS5 ports.

I run cold war also, but more warzone than anything else right now. Playing cross platform with friends on Xbox's has been stellar for friend/pandemic social activity. What I do before going into rest mode is highlight COD cold war or warzone, then press the small white button above the triangle button. This will give you a list of options for the game. Press "close game" then go into rest mode. This should take care of your issues. If it doesn't, you have a hardware or software issue that I would contact Sony with.

I have had some "failed to update" x game errors when in rest mode for some reason. Another rest mode session and this tends to go away.
