So, my fiance and I are out driving Friday night after the hockey game, and on my way to blockbuster, I pass this big ol' lifted Jeep Cherokee. Naturally, I like to help those in need, but I'm rushing to get a movie back to blockbuster in 7 minutes lol. So, I decide on my way back, I'll take that back road and if he's still there, offer to help. Right as rain, dude is in the snow up to his knees digging himself out. So I pull over and ask if he needs help. He gives me the biggest blank stare ever, and scoffs and goes back to digging. I get out, open the trunk, grab a tow cable, and tell him again if he needs help, I'll assist. So he gets in ( still hasn't said a word to me at this point ) and I hook it up to his truck ( 3 wheels lodged into the snow past the wheel wells, 1 on the street ) and pulled him out like it were a bicycle. Just for giggles, I even pulled him down the street while watching his brake lights keep coming on ( I figured his scoffing was questioning the cars ability to pull him out ) and unhooked him.
Nicest dude afterwards. Said thanks, he admitted he didn't think it was going to work, but he said if he's ever driving down the road and sees someone in need, he'll return the favor.
Always nice to help someone in need. 99.9% of the time, If I spot someone out of gas walking, stuck in a snowbank, etc, I will stop unless I'm on a time frame. Hopefully the one day my car decides it's time to fail, someone I've helped in the past will pull over for me. At least, they better, cause there's no way they'll forget my car helping them in the past.

That's awesome, almost same thing happened to me a couple nights ago. Pulled a Chevy SUV from the side of an off ramp. They were very surprised and had to call and cancel their tow truck. Unfortunately most of the time I see people I'm almost late for work already.

That tends to be my issue when I see them, I'm either inbound to work, or rushing an errand. But I always try to take the same route on the return to see if they're still there.

Saw a new State Trooper Taurus in Healy today. Didn't say SHO but it had dual exhaust and an ecoboost badge...
Thing looked mean, I'm jealous.

Wish vehicles like this, (at this price, and miles) popped up here in Anchorage once in a while. I've grown fond of bugeyes, and would love to keep the utility of a wagon. Plus white is sexy.

Don't know if you saw down towards the bottom, it was a reconstructed title vehicle.

My neighbor with Wasilla PD has a Taurus coming. He currently has a Challenger with the mobile spike strip.

Another friend on Palmer PD just got her new Explorer. Except for the push bar and the subdued graphics, it's kind of stealthy.

Yeah I've seen an all white explorer at UAA, I love fords new styling. I think challengers look pretty hideous though.

I definitely be willing if it was in the west coast.
Been shopping for an RS or 02-03 WRX for a dedicated autoX/tanacross car.

I'm going to the WBM this year..it's decided. Only 8000 miles round trip.
