I'm down for a few but my transmission is in pieces. 3 of 4 bearings I ordered were the wrong ones, when I was ordering they deferred those 3 part #s to another part number so I think its their fault. I might just slap it back together and drive it until I get the correct parts in. First I'm going to check with yavapai machine because sometimes they have hard to find bearings/races in stock.

Actually, it was well spent, I just had the bearings measured with calipers and they do fit! Stoked! They just upgraded to a different design that the old ones with more/smaller rollers. So if you got a 2002 5 speed with the old style bearings they will wear out before the rest of your tranny will and make a lot of rollover noise at all speeds/any gear. I will try to press off the bearings myself. What's with this meet? How many people chime in this thread but don't show up? Btw when I qouted the stealership that didn't include shipping so it would have been about 50$ more for raw parts and they don't return special order parts whatsoever so if they didn't fit I would have to bite the bullet on the whole 180$.

Transmission rebuild was successful! Feels solid now. Here's the thread I found info on http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2071286. Ill be swapping a 6 speed this summer, tired of the weak link 5 speed.

Thought I had responded to this - guess not. I knew it was a salvage title (hail damage in phoenix - total loss by insurance) when I bought it. I picked one out of the only forester at upickit the other day. It was 12 bucks!

Im open to time and options within reason, just dont wanna drive out to PV (unless i have to). I know that rick doesnt mind. Just shoot me a text in the AM and well figure it out.

P.S. im kind of a picky eater, and I sense foreign food (get over it, this is 'merica!). How about zekes? Heapin portions and good times..6-6:30ish?
