Default JapCarRealGood to the rescue....again!

So I’m in phx today and my wife’s Bugeye decides to not start. I’m stranded at the TGIF near Happy Valley rd. and the I-17…not a bad place to be stranded, ice cold brew and AC… anyhow the only person I knew to call out this side of town was Barry, aka JapCarRealGood. He came all the way out and trouble shot my car and determined I had a bad fuel pump. He traveled all the way back to his shop on 75th and Northern and got me a fuel pump and a O ring for my MAF Sensor which happened to be split in half. Barry R&R the fuel pump in less than 15 mins and I was on my way back up the hill. It’s people like Barry that make the Subaru Community like family. Thanks again Barry for all your help and for saving me from a very expensive tow back home.

Cheers
Rick

Fuel pump replacement in phx heat in 15 mins is impressive in itself, let alone doing it for somebody else. Nice

I live 67th ave and happy valley and it's quite a drive from barrys shop to my house. Barry is really a good guy to work with guys. If you need work done go to him. Great prices and service. Barry, you should be receiving a call from me sometime next week to get my exhaust put on depending on when my hangers arrive.

Warms our hearts too, so many want to profit off these types of situations. Not that profiting is wrong but it's nice to hear these kinda stories.

Also finally know what the middle "B" is/was, never knew til now LOL.

Just want to bump this for another for Barry and Rich @ Wrench Auto WorX. I had them put a reman'd steering rack in my '97 Outback some months ago, and the part recently failed (failure had nothing to do with what Wrench did--they didn't rebuild it, just installed it).

Well, here is what it means to be stand-up guys that keep the customer first: I dropped off the car last night around 8PM then Barry drove me home in his car. They got the part and the car was ready to go this afternoon (even after going to bat for me with their parts supplier). Then Barry came and picked me up. Oh, and they didn't charge me a shiny penny. Really can't beat that.

and one more for good measure

All this time, didn't know Barry had a shop! Is it an all Suby repair shop? Upgrades/modification stuff? If so, it's good to hear there is one on the west valley side of town.

Yes, VSB, Barry now has a shop, and it is on the west side. They specialize in Subarus, but Barry would have to comment on what other cars they work on. My understanding is they can do pretty much anything and everything from regular maintenance to engine/trans rebuilds. Again, Barry would have to specify though.

He took time from his weekend to come out to 35th ave and happy valley to figure out what needed to be done to my exhaust. Thanks again Barry for the help!

I would highly recommend getting work done on your car by Barry and Rich. They are great people to work with. I don't know anyone else who would come out of their way on the weekend to help.
