Default Will my trans swap put me automatically in Street Mod?

I current have a MY00 RS with a 4EAT. This spring I plan on converting it to a 5 speed that I have from a 99 RS. Will this put me in street mod because it is a trans swap, even though it is the same as a stock MY00 RS?

Put the 5 speed in it and no one ever know if you don't say a anything. If you ran in STS, that would come under the update/backdate rules.

I think this is just a package conversion assuming the MY99 trans is the same as the MY00. Just be sure to follow the factory procedures. And use stock/stock replacement parts where anywhere you arent allowed modification for your class. IE in ST you can do non-stock trans mounts and shifting linkages.

This isn't update/backdate. This a factory option if you are using the oem stuff, same part #s, so good to go in Stock. Just don't toss in a tranny w/ the wrong ratios or the cable clutch setup.

Just to let u know, 2nd gear in my L goes to 60mph.
