Thats up in New York City. You might want to post on the Tri-State Forums to see if anybody claims ownership of the black Subaru in the news video.

Yeah, well. This is a good thing. I don't understand why the actual racing can't be taken to the track. Organize all your people, form a club and get some track time.

street racing like that is teh dangerus,

Zerega Ave!!! I grew up 5 blocks from there, that spot in Hunts Point is hot with ricers every weekend hot or cold. Long straight a ways. That sucks big time.

NYC is so bad to drive in anyways there is no way to open it up. Drive on the FDR sometime, you'll need a new alignment by the time you take a exit to get cross town to the Midtown Tunnel.

I have to admit the ricer scene has blown up in NY big time, and chop shops are at all time high. Subarus are the big ticket now instead of the Type R. Sucks to be them, guess they will have to take it out of the city to Westchester or something.

The city cops need to stop focusing on ricers, and get all the Insurance fraud people in the city.

Wow crack downs just in time for re-elections. Hmmm... If the meetings were already getting that big, that means the problem was ignored for a while. Makes you realize that people don't care until their jobs are on the line. We need to put together a secret society where there are unwritten rules and were we are always one step ahead of the law...

Rule 1. You don't talk about MidnightClub.
Rule 2. You don't talk about MidnightClub.

PM me for first meeting.

...or the cops were giving their people a chance to get deeper undercover.
It looks like the strategy worked, whatever it was.

Wow they ripped the front bumper off that turboed si, the front bumper on the s2000 is trashed. if that was my ride i would be sueing for damages to my car. but then again i was doing something illegal soo i probably won't win.

if your going to do it take it somewhere in the middle of no where and don't tell or talk about it all the time. just try and keep it on the DL. alright i'm going to shut up now before i get flamed.

Default yes, street racing

I'm glad you said street racing instead of drag racing. We've seen stories recently on our local news in DC about "Drag Racing" that was really street racing. In one instance News 4 changed their tune to street racing - I can only hope they understand the difference. Drag racing is an officially sanctioned motorsport complete with rules and safety standards. Street racing does not have those things. I hope more than a few of us will stand up for proper drag racing (if that is your thing) when a juvenile street race is improperly labeled as a drag race. Otherwise, I'd hate to see this sport come under the kind of recent scrutiny the Bush Admin is imparting on Howard Stern. And, by the way, a real drag car would never hook up on the street anyways.

umm where exactly do you go in NYC and find the middle of nowhere? Those areas are warehouse districts and very unpopulated if that's even possible. Those spots have been there for quite a while before the original Fast and the Furious.

It's really hard to keep spots like that quiet, it's was only a matter of time before the the cops' hand was forced.

The whole street racing scene will never end. It's only going stronger with kids trying to become the next Paul Walker or something. Sad, but very true. I can understand hanging out in parking lot or at a meeting spot, but what do people normally do leaving that type of environment? Do a little spirited driving shall we say? Most likely, and that could be considered street racing. Who cares at this point, just buy a Valentine and run :-P

More of a generalized 'you' than what it came out as.

but I do wish I could go fly a kite, it would beat sitting at work.

(just mad because I'm at work and can't watch the video)
