Post Painting sideskirts and spats= waste of $ 4 me?

I want to paint my skirts and spats, but i am worried abou chipping in the future. For those of you with them painted and drive on roads that are salted/sanded, is it worth it for me to paint them, even if I get flaps for the winter? To what extent have you people experienced chipping on your skirts?
Thanks for the time.

How much dirt does the car see? And how much driving in snowy weather?

I'm planning on painting the skirts on mine, and getting them StonGard'ed to help ward off rock chips and such. The Subaru paint is notoriously thin and prone to chipping, so StonGarding a car is a good idea regardless.

Get/make a set of rally-style flaps! That'll protect your paint.

If you have an excellent body shop they should be able to provide a highly synthetic paint that can reduce chipping. There's a body shop near me that I trust a lot and they claim to have a special "formula" paint that will work but it's expensive.

I have had 0 chipping. It makes the car look very sharp, and it also looks stock so people dont think it is r1cey looking.

Shouldn't this be in the "Dressup and Style" forum?

Im sorry if this was supposed to be in the Dress-up and Style forum, Ill think it thorugh a bit more next time I post. Anyway, I live in montreal and the roads are heavily salted in the winter. I have a good body shop near me and Ill see what they can offer for chip resistant paint. I do almost 0 dirt road driving, but the winters here are pretty heavy. Thanks guys/gals.
