He was doing good with cold air being less critical in turbo apps, right up until the hot air makes more power

HA, I knew I was right the whole time. I re-routed my heating ducts to my air box to force feed hot air into my motor and everyone thought I was nuts...well who's laughing now.

i dunno the cai should do some good here, the cooler air is going to get heated by the turbo yes, but its not going to get as hot as it would in the absense of the cai

"You have a big ass intercooler"
Yes, and somehow we seem to have forgotten its relation to that hot air coming out of his mouth and into the engine. |

CAI's are garbage on turbo cars, he was fine up until he tried to point out that hotter air burns better.

I can't read this crap!
"Quote: No no no! Air density has everything to do with intake and performance! The more oxygen molecules you can cram into your cylinders, the more power you can make! Design certainly contributes to this, but cold air is everything! I'm sure you've noticed that your car pulls harder when the outside temperature is cold, compared to when it's hot? The cold outside air means more oxygen in your engine. And if we all remember our High School chemistry classes, fuel + oxygen + heat =combustion. No no no! the reason why your car pulls harder is mainly because the intercooler is colder. Streets get upwards of 100 degress in many places and hot air rises raight into your intercooler. The cold air isnt everything, it is w/ an na car but thats why we have intercoolers, to charge the air AFTER the turbo! tisk tisk " |
