I just got home from Dale's... picked up a front swaybar to match the rear, some endlinks to crank up the rear to the hard setting and an H-Brace to stiffen everything up.
And stickers for horsepower.

Hey James,
You may want to check the rule book . But I think the H brace is a no go in SM. I believe it will push you into a "prepared" class. Jason |

Yup h brace puts you in prepared. Not worth it in my opinion if you wanna be competitive. But if it's just for fun the I say slap her on!

lowered the car today but i have a question.. even though i lowered the rears evenly, the driver rear is sitting way lower than the passenger rear (more wheel gap) is it safe to lower it more to even it out? or is it bad/unsafe for the perch to be uneven ?

Kolyn: The stickers didn't work out at all They added way too much power!
Jason and Kevin: Thanks for the heads up on the H-Brace. I don't really care what class I'm in, I'm just out there to race against myself mostly. And if I'm faster than someone else then too bad for them I don't care what class they are in either |

Picked up GTworx Bilstiens!
If anyone is unhappy with the steering on the GR chassis. I highly suggest the Perrin subframe lockdown kit, before whiteline steering rack bushings. Best $35 bucks I ever spent. |

My GR had rack bushings it doesnt do as much as the old gd gc because they changed how it mounts.
But I second slowguy buy a qrack and realize what an sti should drive like. Oh and solid mounts are best . |

^ I also read that you need to manually turn off VDS every time you start driving.. that's not true?

Oh damn! My original rack sprung a leak last year and I replaced it with a genuine Subaru one. I won't even say what it cost me. At the time I wanted to upgrade it but the research I did said that it could not be done! So is your lock-to-lock less than stock? I want one!

I thought you weren't going to tell everyone that I'm positive... o wait...
Hahaha I think the VDS will apply breaking to the back wheels, in the case of a slide. It's actually a pretty handy thing when you need it. If I didn't have to daily-drive the car I would get the Q-rack and rip the VDS right out. |

How many turns is a normal lock-to-lock for a GC? I have the quickened steering from STi and I'm curious how much quicker it is.

Sti is 15. Your ra is 13 Qrack starts at 11.5 and its perfect for a "driver" Mcwc has a faster rack then that. I can tell you that youll hate most other cars racks unless you get into a car with variable speed sensing steering. Then itll react quick but very light. |
