WGMG: Chase and Subaru are ending their credit card partnership. No word if my Subaru bucks will still be honored after this month.

Probably not for long. Audi decided to cancel partnership with Citibank a couple years ago. I was still able to use my accumulated points towards Audi specific bits, but after a couple months I merely had "citipoints" or whatever.

Here's their official answer:

Thank you for contacting Chase about the deconversation of
Subaru accounts.

I confirm that your Subaru card will be converted to Chase
Freedom account on 09/30/2014. You will earn rewards
through statement cycle before 09/30/2014 in old program.

Remaining rewards certificates will be sent to you in
November. The termination will not affect the value of the
Subaru bucks rewards that you have already earned.

No wonder they call them revenue enhancement zones:
Quote:
AS 28.90.990. Definitions.
(a)(14) "highway work zone" means an area identified by advance signing where road construction, repair, or maintenance work is being done on or adjacent to a highway, whether or not work is actually being done at that time.
No, I didn't get a ticket, but I was curious what the law was as I came from a state where it dependant on whether or not workers were present.

WGMG: Ordering parts, takes 3 weeks to get here, and it's not what you ordered. Now I start the return process.

I go to a bay wash and bring some rags with me. I rinse with water, pre-soak, then soap blast. Then with the soap blast I wet the rags and wipe down the car by hand. That ALWAYS removes extra grime and dirt that the wands just can't touch. Then I just rinse with water and use the wax spray. If you have time to stay there and dry it off in the bay and it's not busy, then dry it with the wax layer. Otherwise rinse the wax with regular water blast and dry from there.

That should help get rid of finger prints. Regular laser wash or bay wash blasting doesn't usually work for me. I was also informed that with dark cars, scrub horizontally, not circularly or vertically. You probably already knew that, but I didn't. It seems to have helped keep the swirls down on my detailing from months ago.

I have a bag full of the Costco yellow rags in my trunk at all times. Started that with the WRX, I think. Washed them about two or three times to rid the fuzz that falls off them, then they were good to go. When the bag runs low from taking out the dirty rags, I refill it with cleaned rags from my laundry. Repetitious.

WGMG: Paying off the car a year early, getting the title in the mail today, only to find out someone did a hit and run on your car.

It's not too bad, but the front right quarter panel needs to be replaced.

Weather "prediction". What a joke this year, all these "snow producing storms". Garbage. I'm looking forward to a rainy summer.
