3/8" fuel lines and factory hard lines?
I've heard that 5/16 fuel line hose works with the factory hard lines, but has anyone tried 3/8? Will a fuel injection hose clamp make a tight enough seal to stay safe, or should I just not go there?
Thanks!

I wouldn't. clamps won't seal it good enough. I used a conversion 5/16 nipple to 3/8 an fitting on push lock hose rated up to 200 psi and 300 degrees temp. I'm running the injector dynamics intank walbro with inline Bosch 044.

I see only three 5/16 barb adaptors at that site and none of them have AN fittings... All three have "jiffy-tite" fittings on the other end, which looks neat, and I'm tempted to get a set anyway... but I still need a 5/16-to-AN adaptors.
Am I missing something? Is there a part number or some keyword I should search for? I tried "5/16" and "barb" with no luck. Thanks! |

Closest thing so far. Was hoping for a female AN fitting though...

I've had some success stretching 5/16 hose over 3/8 barbs. Just warm it a bit and use some WD-40 and a lot of elbow gease.

check ur local hose store. I'm pretty sure they have fuel safe fittings and adaptors. that's where I got mine.

Anyone know of an online shop in the US that carries that part?
I found a dozens of Aeroquip retailers that carry every part except that one. |

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-165056ERL/ I used EAR-165056ERL on the stock hard lines in the engine bay. I had to use some sand paper to get the OD of the hard lines down a bit and also heated up the compression olive a tad bit to expand it over the hard line. Easier than it sounds. tested the fuels system at 110 psi with no leaks. |
