What's going on with your hp and torque? I expected to see a much different shape with this new setup. There's almost a 80 ft/lbs spike between 4600 and 5800 and it keeps dropping down fast to 7000. HP peaks but then falls as well. I thought it would have a long flat torque curve with power rising to at least 7000. Even with your S1 cams I thought it would look different on this setup. Is something holding it back? Boost is hold very flat so its not that. I can't see anything with your build that would seem to hold you back up top on this setup.

Have done any logs with the filter off to see how they compare?

I run this filter directly clamped onto my turbo due to space constraints of my own:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?prod=RU-2510 Could something like that, a little taller perhaps work for you or are you trying to avoid having the filter stick out any farther than it is? |

What is the CFM rating of that filter?
Have you tried any 4th gear data logs? |

I added yours to the list below. It only has a small amount more filter area than my stubby one. Mine is very short, but the diamter is large so that somewhat makes up for it. I may also try this foam filter. I'm not sure how well it will flow though. It may end up being much worse than an actual filter. I'd prefer not to have something sticking way out of my bumper, but that may be the best option. http://turbo-guard.com/turbo-guard-sv/ Code:

I haven't done any 4th gear logs. I'm still on snow tires and they don't really like high speed. |

If you call K&N they can give you the CFM rating of that filter. When I designed my set-up I called them prior to buying a filter. The one I have flows about 950 CFM.

Maybe I should just get an eBay filter. It should have more filter area than mine... http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-6-W-COLD-S...-/191287565901 http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-6-75-H-COL...-/400792420440 http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-YELLOW-COL...-/191383087330 http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-100mm-Mush...-/261448567930 |

Love your progress and the way everything is so well done. I cant wait to see some trap times. Have you thought about running the fog covers (just the turbo side) that are mesh with some sort of 'fabbed' drop in style filter behind it for street use and removable filter for the strip or just a stealth look?

Hey Ben I seem to remember you posting side-by-side shots of the Tial vs Turbosmart EWGs but can't find them for the life of me.. can you repost them if it's convenient?
I see you're running Turbosmart now, would you say they are superior to Tial? Thanks |

Thanks for the great response! I thought the Tial was smaller for some reason.. Good thing I just installed a Comp-Gate40
Keep up the good work |

Thanks! Hopefully I'll have a bunch of different intake options to compare soon. Once the weather improves...
