basic parts needed for 6spd swap into WRX? How "bullet proof?"
I was under the impression that I would need the tranny, shift linkage, knuckles, axles, driveshaft and rear end. I saw an STi tranny for sale alone and inquired about it and the seller tells me that not all those parts are absolutely needed. Can anyone tell me the bare basics needed for the swap? I'm looking to put 450 on the ground and have seen plenty of stock STi tranny's take it, so the thought is bouncing around in the head if I can get it done for less than a full PPG box.
How have these things held up to that power and a 2 step? Fred

It depends on what year STI tranny you're looking at.
