Thumbs down Evasive Motorsports

So, I was searching through the internet trying to find some good prices for some muteki lugs when I came across honda-tech.com and a posting for a special deal on them through evasive motorsports. I read the thread and everyone was commenting on their quick shipping and how great they were to be giving these prices to people that needed it. So I paypaled them the money and that's when **** went wrong.

Not only did they accept my payment and not ship out the lugs until I actually called them, but they don't even have an answering machine! How you can have a legit business and not have an answering machine is ridiculous. I had to e-mail them to get a hold of them, and they gave me some lame ass BS answer like,"you should be receiving them anytime now." Well, 4 days later (note that they're from socal and so am I, so the shipping shouldn't have taken more than 2 days) I finally receive the lugs, and I notice they're the wrong size! I clearly put in the paypal notes with the payment that I needed 12X1.25, not 12X1.5. So they've messed up twice before I even received my item.

Because of this lame excuse for a business, I've had to cancel my wheel/tire install appointments twice, making Discount Tire Co. think that I'm just messing around and not really serious about purchasing wheels. Thanks a lot Evasive Motorsports... you carry a lot of products but no service!

So as an update, I sent the lugnuts back and had to cancel my tire/rim appointment again. I sent them back in the beginning of the week, and they should've received them by the end of the week since it was within Cali. I called today (a week and a half later) and the guy was like, oh wait, this thing on the desk? What a bunch of dumbasses, seriously. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. 2 weeks later and I have no product, and they SAY they're gonna try to send it out today but the mail has already gone out. Looks like I gotta cancel my tire appointment again... Don't even think about doing business with this company, seriously!

They source products gray market so you can kiss any warranty on their JDM parts goodbye...

That and they sell alot of repli-junk from companies like Seibon.

I've seen some trouble from them on the S2000 boards....I wouldn't reccomend them...

i havent seen that much replica parts from them but even gruppe-s sells replica parts, almost all vendors do. from my personal experience they've been great.

I had a similar problem with them. I placed an order in December with them because I noticed they were in Southern Cali and I had an install scheduled for the end of that week. Well, 4 or 5 days go by, and no confirmation email, tracking info or anything. I emailed them a couple of times, no answer. I called them and finally got ahold of somebody after getting the answering machine several times. This was the day before m scheduled install. They told me that one of the gauges was on backorder and they were going to withhold shipping until all of the parts were in. I told them that it would have been appropriate to email me or call me to let me know of the backorder status, rather than me having to pull teeth to find out about it. I decided to wait it out, I finally got my last part nearly a month later after some more unfulfilled promises. This company just plain stinks. Like the poster above mentioned, they have some generic answering machine on their listed phone number and they dont respond to emails/return phone messages. I'm never going to order from this company again. I'd rather pay a little more to get quality service and timely shipping.

Their customer service stinks. I ordered some Defi gauges from them in December and it took nearly a month for me to get all of my products.They never bothered to let me know that one of the products was backordered. They don't answer their phone during their listed business hours, and if you call you'll get ahold of some generic answering machine (of which they don't return messages). They promised me two delivery dates that weren't fulfilled which led me to have to cancel my install apointments. To me it seems like it's some garage-run business judging by their level of customer service and ineptitude.

ordered a set of rays lugs from them online early monday morning....the site froze in the middle of my order so i resubmitted it. Not sure if it went through or if it went through twice i called later that afternoon. They told me they saw my order and that should ship out that day. Wed comes around and i still haven't gotten an email confirmation for the order or tracking number. So i called today and they said they just came in (guess they were out of stock but was never told that when i spoke to them mon afternoon) and that it will be shipped out today around 3. Was also told that they usually just send an invoice with the shipment. It's wed night and still no tracking number sent.
Im not to sure about this vendor. I don't get why they don't send an email confirmation about the order (you have to call them) especially with internet orders. Never replied to my emails, except for Justin who is only there PT.
I've had better experiences with other vendors

update: Not sure about the other guys, but JUSTIN is the one to deal with. He followed up with my order and gave me the 411. After reading the first post....I'll just have to wait and see if they sent the right lugs.
They really need to update their website/system...and send out confirmation emails about orders....I'm sure that would cut-down on alot of calls and emails on order status.

In contrast to another experience I recently had w/ another vendor, Evasive was absolutely amazing. I order some lug nuts yesterday afternoon (like 4pm) and they just arrived at my office this morning. Their sales associate advised of a Monday delivery and they came on the Friday before. Good business - Under Promise; Over Deliver! Don't hesitate to purchase from these guys.

Wanted to say THANKS to Evasive Motorsports!!

Bought a set of Rays Blue lug nuts for my Volks. Called them, they placed the order and shipped it out. Took about 5 days to get to me. painless process.

For next time, please email order confirmation to the customer so that we can have a 'hard copy' of the order in case something gets lost or a misplaced order, or typo, etc...

I ordered a set of lugs and wheel locks on sunday and received themy yesterday. No troubles at all. The only thing I would had liked to see would be a tracking number/order sent confirmation email.

Im deployed and my wife ordered the wrong downpipe for me, she called them, they fixed it, then sent the one I wanted...all the same day. I didnt even know all this was going on until I PMed Justin from Evasive...so long story short, they had everything fixed, and my DP shipped, even got this DP cheaper than anywhere else! Back in 2005-2006 Evasive was really short handed with employees and things became hectic.

To the grey market comment, we do not gray market parts. I am not sure where you heard that from.

We have solved our problem by hiring new employees and have been running solid since.

I now work here full time so if there are any problems or issues with orders or anything please PM, email, or call and ask for Justin. I will assure you will be taken care of. I have been working my best to provide the best customer service I can.

Ordered some stuff from them that apparently wasnt in stock. I go to the website to check the order and it just says pending. After a couple of emails they finally reply and say that it's being drop shipped from the manufacturer and I should check back with them the next day for a tracking number. I have no problem with it being dropshipped but shouldn't it be the vendors responsibility to notify their customers about the status of their order? I shouldn't be the one asking where my parts are a week later or why their site says pending. A simple email stating what's up goes a long way!

I had them do quite a bit of work on my car, installing a lot of STi bits, new lateral links, trailing arms, alum a-arms, and more... I've had this constant clunking for a few months since then, that wasn't apparent when I left LA back to San Diego on the nice long freeways we have...

Well turns out the swaybar endlinks on each side were about finger tight. Since it's been a few months and a couple thousand miles, the bolt threads are damaged enough that I need new endlinks (I am running stockers) I had no intention nor did I need aftermarket units.

Thanks for such a simple oversight. I wonder if anything else was overlooked?

i shouldve read this before dealing with Evasive..

i sent payment for lugnuts last week and no response.. PM'ed them twice and no response... called.. no answer and no answering machine.. so i emailed them and HEY a response! (this is 3 days later from sending payment) i too had to hold off on my tire/wheel mounting appointment..

so, they finally reply and tell me shipping info (i was hoping to get some free overnight shipping for leaving me out in the rain for a while) only to later get another email after all that saying the item im looking for is not in stock!!! wish you guys checked before giving me a price quote then none of this would have happened in the first place!!!! so i ask for my refund..
