Jamie (or anyone else who can help)...can you help me find brake part number(s)?
So now that my little episode with my drum brake has gotten worse (fluid pissing out of the piston. No its not the bleeder valve.) I'm now wanting to do that disc conversion sooner rather than later.
I bought these[/url] off a member here about 6 months ago. I know only one is pictured, but I got a set. According to the post they would fit my axles/rear diff. They are JDM STi...but I can't remember what version and year wasnt stated. I want to say version 6...but thats not definate. By the way...what are these things officially CALLED (insert laughter here). I need calipers, pads and rotors. I think thats all I need....can you tell what else I might need from the pic? The only part-ish looking number was a raised "6F 19" but I have no idea where else to look. Theres numbers on the rubber bushing...but I'm assuming those relate to the bushing itself. So anyways...I'm trying to find a # for the calipers primarily. It would be nice to be able to walk in somewhere and go "yah I need rear pads for {model}" too...but if its just a part number I'll definately take that too. I'm going on desperate here. I spent $120 for these, I wasnt going to swap in the winter but I shouldve done it the instant it got above 50 degrees. I'm fed up with this "maze of springs and voodoo" bull****. Tangent: My bro-in-law (>real< mechanic) is coming over to help me out if this next test doesn't work. Bumming a ride to work tommorow (thank GOD). Liek any of you care. Hi. And thank you. Tell me what I can do to repay. I'm sure this isn't a 2 minute task I'm begging for. PPS: Jamie...Can you get older JDM stuff and if so how much? Needless to say if you have them I'm just getting them thru you because christ only knows what I'd get if I asked around local (plus that would be a lame thing for me to do..ask for someone to spend time looking up part numbers based on pics...then buying the stuff somewhere else). Pictures: FIXT: I posted pictures of my cats instead of the right ones, because I am stupid. Standby.l

a fustercluck may be happening if those are r180 hubs. they may not fit ur axles. if they are r160 hubs, u may then run into issues with which caliper they had orignally, 2pots or 1pots. different rotors fit each.
if u can get a center to center measurement on the caliper mounting bolt location i can check if its 2pot or 1pot backing plate over the weekend. |

entire thing is about 11" in diameter. I was able to match it up to my 15" wheel with what looked like enough room for a caliper. The caliper holes are 5 3/4" apart...center to center. Hope that helps some...

the 2pot mounting holes were ~115mm(4.5") center to center. u probably will need the 1pot calipers, but i can't give u positive answer until i pull off a rear wheel to get at the brakes.
