Stripped out the A/C from my little 02 Leggy Wagon. Haven't got the condenser out soon. Going to be replacing the coolant outlet and bypass hose so will pull the radiator then and get the condenser out.

Also going to pull the A/C / Alternator bracket out and cut it down to size as its slightly ridiculous at the moment with all the extra beef to be able to support the A/C compressor. Or I might just fab up a entirely new bracket from mild steel but I have a feeling the factory piece is going to be lighter and cleaner looking then anything I might be able to cobble together.

So I got her back last night with a good inspection sticker for 2 years. Had all 4 wheel bearings replaced (at my request) as they were noisy and had some play. Wheels are much quieter now.

As far as the trailing arm and rear knuckle bushings are concerned, I think it’s one of those mods you can get away with without any real negative side effects. It’s not any noisier and doesn’t feel harder, but I can feel a difference in the rear end and cornering feels more consistent.

At least I feel like I can get away with it on my car because I’ve already replaced most of the rubber bushings and mounts with poly and there’s a lot of road/engine noise.

So I put my alternator bracket on a 10oz diet

Well I got it all cleaned up so its not some bulky thing that is obviously missing an A/C compressor.

Default What'd you do to your subie today?

Installed the blower motor cover under the dash on the passenger side to muffle out the blower motor whine/buzz on my 19 WRX. It definitely helps quiet it down and was $45 well spent! Here’s the part numbers in case anyone else wants to order it.

Panel #66066FJ010
Push pins (Need 2) #99045AE020JC

Default Replaced tranny, diff, half shafts.

Trying to replace the rear driveshaft (transmission to rear diff) but the part my son got of ebay has a destroyed center CV joint. Also the driveshaft I pulled out is 63.5 inches long which is one inch longer then the ones listed for sale for same vehicle. Had to replace the tranny because the input shaft bearings above the center diff exploded as well as the rear seal. Metal parts all thru the tranny. Its been quite an adventure.

Today, I went to it, put my cupholder in, and left it at the shop for Monday's minor bodywork and external AT filter change.

New here, Hello everyone!

Saabaru: all year round driver.
Removed the second tray from the 1up bicycle rack, checked oil level because it has developed a leak.
Bugeye: good weather only vehicle.
Installed ecu and trim, applied anti seize to front Brembo caliper bolts, pushed caliper pistons in all the way in anticipation for new pads and rotors.

Aimed my headlights as they seemed a bit lower than normal after the front end was rebuilt after I went deer hunting.

Saabaru:
Replaced right side rear brake caliper, picked up a remanufactured caliper at the local Subaru dealer. Pricey at $149 considering a remanufactured from Rock Auto is half the price, hopefully it’ll last a long time and I’ll feel better about it. Replaced the rear brake pads and brake rotors while at it.

Looks good. Subaru actually has an oem ac delete bracket that's super light for those that don't have the tools to cut down the cast bracket

How bout you all?

I ended up putting in the flex fuel kit for my 2017 wrx it was a breeze! Cobb made it easy to install. Thanks Cobb

Added this rear diffuser. I like this better than the pointy- spiky metal diffusers out there. It gives the rear of the car more aggressive IMO.

Added the JDM rear splash guard. Now, I can say the rear of the car is finally complete. Still debating if I should add the exhaust finisher or not.
