Just today?

Put the last ties on the wrap and sprayed them with DEI High-temp sealant.

Wrapped the steering wheel with handlebar tape, and put skateboard tape on my clutch and brake pedal cover.

Got the new turbo in from SoCalPorting and ready for mounting, and found out that it's a 3in to my 2.4 inlet, so I ordered (another) perrin inlet and a new air filter. Went ahead and stuck the turbo blanket on it.

Over the past few days?

Remove old turbo and ship it off to see if it was worth my rebuilding, remove, prep, paint, and wrap from the headers to the end of the downpipe, reflect-a-gold on FMIC piping. Ordered and got 4 VP racing jugs for E85.

Now it's just waiting for the turbo inlet to show up tuesday, stuff it in there somehow, change the oil, bolt everything back up, fill the cans with that sweet corn juice, and then we see how much response we can push through a disco potato on E85 with a stock EJ207 and 04 5spd transmission. Not quite. Trying to not blow anything up, but looking to get 300whp out of the E85.

Full pics here.

Currently running 5th revision Mike Botti etune. For anyone considering whether an etune is worth it (over an OTS map), itís absotively worth it!

Smile ....after a long hiatus of not owning GX chassis...

Paid my shop guy for 105k refresh: lightweight flywheel, new clutch, and up-pipe on my stocker '05 Saabaru, on the way to stage 2. Also T-belt kit, valve cover seals, group N engine mounts. All parts ordered, service scheduled in 2 weeks and includes a basic tune to 200+

Any suggestions for quiet and classy TBE? You know, the polar opposite of a fart can?

Side note, my shop guy is a total bad ass, hyped to have found him. Mostly just hyped to finally have an EJ under my right foot again

Deleted the chrome badges from my GR8 today. Later, I removed the OEM silver/red fender badges and replaced them with black/red badges.

Finally got my Ď15 WRX out of the body shop after 7,000 worth of crash fixing work! While it was there I ordered a few things (all minor). So I put them on Saturday. Oil, radiator and brake fluid billet caps. Already took oil cap off. Who in hell thought of that anyway??? The billet cap gets super-duper hot! May take the others off cause looks a little ghetto under the hood right now. Door sill stickers, carbon fiber print with WRX cutout. That one was okay. But also an F1 style fog/brake light in rear bumper!!! Now that I am loving!

Recently had my wheels stolen (On Thanksgiving of all days - and no, I didn't have wheel locks. Lesson learned) from my 2014 GR8.

I found someone that was selling his 2015–2017 Limited STI wheels wrapped in Continental Winter Contact SIs and reached out. After mocking them up on my car (possibly painting these black later), I decided to pull the trigger.

Rebuilt a set of red 4/2-pots with new piston seals and covers, shims and Hawk Performance Ceramic pads, then ordered new backing plates for the front knuckles.

These will be going on a 2005 2.5RS, so next up is replacing the rear knuckles with a set of 06-07 knuckles, and installing the 02-04 e-brake cables for compatibility with my 02-04 interior conversion.

Fix it all!! Its going to be cheaper than my Baja. I am likely going to need a full suspension rebuild, new clutch kit and full engine reseal pretty soon at the 200K mark. I would not be surprised if my total was over $4000 with all the stuff I want to fix. Super old timer here.... 4 digit member number FTW.
