Question Will it damage my tranny?

Let me start by saying that I have searched and have not found an answer.

I have the now infamous "Clutch Shudder" occuring every now and then.
I have read that some people have had it repaired but it still comes back.
It is because of this that I am hesitant to take it in.

I have learned to live with it.

My question is, will the "shudder" cause any damage over the long term (or short term), to my tranny or anything else?

Is it just an annoying occurence, or should it not be ignored?

Had mine replaced under the TSB back in March (or was it Feb?) I think for a majority of the people who had it "come back" got their's replaced PRIOR to the official TSB. You may want to consider it.

As far as damage, I think it's tough to say. I'm no expert, but I just can't believe it doesn't increase the wear on the internals of the gearbox. Our cars demand smoothness, and a lot of the time, it appears the "less smooth and patient" drivers among us are the ones who blow up 1st and 2nd gear. I would hate to think that your machine is causing unnecessary wear on itself if you are a responsible driver.
