Question Which non-WRX offers best bang for buck?

I now realize the wrx is a dream at this point. To make a new impreza a reality, I need to opt for one of the other models. Which non-wrx version is the best buy and why? thanx

Have a Nice Day?

Cherry bomb... best bang for the buck.

Now that the WRX is coming out... check the market for a flood of used RS's.

The best bang for the buck is almost always a 2-3 year old used car. Despite the endless optimism of people on this board, I bet you could pick up a decent 98 2.5 RS for about $13k. You could also get a 98 Civic EX, 98 GTI (4cyl), or even a 2000 Focus ZX3 for that amount.

I know where a 2000 and a couple of 2001 RS's are, on a car lot. Brand new too.

Wanna by my impreza 2.5rs? it's 2001 and only has 7500 miles on it. Why am i getting rid of it? Because I am dreaming for the WRX. But really, I am seriously thinking about selling it.
