Default 2009 impreza 1500 rpm vibration when cold

Hi all, I have a question about my 09 impreza 2.5i with 106k miles. I just did my first oil change(3k miles) and fixed the heat shield rattle which was coming from the shielding near where the headers start. The thing I realized is that the heat shield rattle was masking and probable caused by a vibration which happens at around 1500 rpm when engine is cold. This goes away once the blue coolant light goes out basically. There is a slight hesitation at 1500 rpm when cold as well. Any thoughts?

(all the major maintenance like timing belt, head gaskets, rear main seal were done)

Can you reproduce the vibration at 1500 rpm when the engine is warm?

Default Somebody help this rookie?

I just registered and was hoping to ask an engine related question but for the life of me, cannot figure out how to do that? I saw something about having to reply to 3 posts before I can ask a question? I use Rennlist but am stymied by NASIOC!

I have this exact problem on my 09 2.5i. I have around 95k miles with aftermarket headers, the last thing I can think of is the second cat heat shield, but am still wondering why it would go away after the blue light goes out
