i need the part # for the MAF sensor on a 1998 v4 ej20k sti sedan.

i found this number (22680AA271) in one of the first posts, i looked it up on genuinesubaruparts.com/subarupart.com, they both have it but its expensive and i want to verify its the right number before i drop $300 and get the wrong part.

thanks!

Yes is correct for all EJ20K engines (orange sticker). The contemporary EJ20G engines use the AA280 (purple sticker). All pre-1997 EJ20G engines use the AA160 (green sticker).

part ordered from subarugenuineparts, eta 10 days. (stupid snowstorm on the east coast)
apparently there are only 6 5, in the entire USA, so if anybody with a 20k needs a maf, you better get one before they're all gone...

They can order from Japan as long as the parts are in production, EJ20K parts *should* be available until 2018!

Open them up and check that the valve buckets are under bucket shim and that the cams have the correct markings.

Yes it is.

By the way, the head gasket for the EJ20K is 11044AA463, not available in the US. You can use the 11044AA355 though, smae thickness but composite instead of MLS so not as strong.

Hey Marnix I am looking for sodium filled 20K valves. Are these the correct part numbers??

Intake-13201AA340
Exhaust-13202AA350

The prices on these above are Intake-$10.94 Exhaust-$14.60. At that price I figured that was low and wanted to make sure they weren't 25D valves.

The numbers above are for the EJ20G and indeed EJ25D. They are not hollow (intakes) or sodium filled (exhausts).

The ones you need are 13201AA320 for intakes and 13202AA330 for exhausts.

alternatively you can do Cometic C4261-051 (x2) they are MLS equivalent to the JDM hg's and only around $90-$100 for a pair

Fuses are fine and I can't see any grounding issues. An ECU reset got rid of the codes and they haven't returned yet so I don't think a fuse issue would allow this. It was a much colder morning today than it had been for weeks and it was at least 10 degrees warmer when i did the reset. I'll see what tomorrow morning brings.

Why did those codes make you think grounding issue? Maybe it's worth doing some extra grounding considering the age of the car?

Sorry for the delay.
The EJ20G head gasket part number is not in the system. I'm about to buy a 95 EJ20G WRX shortblock to mate up with my 97 Forester EJ20G/K heads. I need the EJ20G head gaskets right?

Is there a working part number for them?

Those 10105AA numbers I quoted are not for head gaskets but for complete gasket and seal kits. Keep paying attention
