That sounds pritty cool actually. That way you don't have to cart everyone around and the guys in back can ride in comfert.

I think it could be great. First thing to do is pull out the seats and the carpet. Get a look at the ground to see where you can mount the seats. If there aren't any places to mount it, make your own and bolt those suckers in place.

How much headroom is there back there?

man this would have the potential as being really cool. it would also be nice if you could use the rake adjustments. you wouldnt really need it, but it would be a cool feature.

Once you take the rear seats off I think you'll realize why this would be REALLY difficult if not impossible. There is not really an easy mounting surface down there..

Actually the rear bench is on a raised platform in the back so mounting 2 front seats will place them about 8" higher than the fronts with absolutely no headroom. We did this with one of our rally cars and sparco seats. The car now has only 1 seat and its for the guys young son.
Take a look: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...5&pagenumber=4

I'm pretty sure the wheel well comes in to play on this. Your best bet would be having someone custom fabricate some seats that would fit back there.

i think the seats would be able to rest on the wheel well just like the stock bench does, but untill i get my rear seats out and test fit my front pass. seat in the back it is all speculation.

A lot of custom work will have to be done because raised rear bench = big problems. And its going to be nearly impossible to mint an OEM seat on the raised portion while still having head room. Maybe you should think of modifying the rear bench into a more comfortable 2 person configuration opposed to the 3 person bench look.

just remove the sliders and rails (becasue you wont need them in the rear) and that will make up for the raised section. When i had my Honda i put 2 racing seats in the front and matching ones in the rear. The fronts will have brackets and sliders and the rears will not so they come out to be very close to the same. I have not tried this on my scooby so i dont know if it will work as well

Is it as simple as bolting in wagon rear seats? Or, is some fabrication involved?
