as expected, bleeders snap off. I gotta take the brembos somewhere to get the other 3 bleeders out and re-threaded if needed, etc.

PB'd the crap out of every bolt, nut, bleeder attached to the calipers. The whole brass bleeder into aluminum caliper isn't the best engineering idea.

I completely expected to have at least one bleeder break off, so when the first one snapped, I'm not going to touch the other 3 and I'm just going to take them to a shop to have all the bleeders checked out/repaired if need be. The driver side caliper might need to get helicoiled as well. When I got the bolts out, being a steel bolt into an aluminum caliper the bolt comes out, but so do some of the threads. I chased one of the bolts into the caliper and it did recut threads, so it might not to be helicoiled, but I figure if someone is going to fix the bleeders I might as well have them officially repair the threads on the caliper mount as well.

To initially loosen the bleeder screws on any caliper I've gotten into the habit of using a 1/4" drive rachet with 2" extension and proper size socket to loosen the bleeder(s). Found that I break less bleeders that way. Using a 6 point box end wrench caused me to break many as I was side loading the bleeder.

I PB the crap out of them, if I can get heat on them, I carefully heat them and hit them again with PB blaster.

Overall, bleeders on Michigan vehicles suck, I hate them.

If you need help, starting Wednesday I'll be in the shop everyday except Sunday.

Who wants to volunteer for my shop clean-up crew?

What shop? Where?

I won't have anytime this week, but maybe the weekend of the 9th if you can help out. I just need to free all the bleeders, hopefully not break anymore, and replace the one bleeder.

No exactly,..but here it is installed in my car. The end plates are mostly hidden by my camber plates.

I'll have it in the trunk at tomorrows' meet if you are going to be there.

So, new guy to the thread here, hello.

Just thought I would see if you guys had anything planned next Sunday, I will be in town (most likely) picking up parts, and visiting friends, thought it would be worth checking out... (probably wont be in any of my Subarus though. they are all out of town or out of commission. )

I was going to go to meet guy to buy a CF wing,..and to sell a JDM bumper beam.

Both got post-poned until another day,...so I didn't make it either.

Brad, don't know if you remember the dumb tire issue (loose steering) we discussed a while back but I recently rotated my rear tires (less tread) to the front and the steering got back to normal (tight). Looks like new tires are going to give me a lot of grief from now on I hate loose steering!
