Poly Urethane Mud Flaps, Home made. Opinions Wanted!
Ok so Im working on a set of mud flaps right now and Im looking for some opinions. They will be black once they are finished but I want to no if you guys think there to wide? stick out to far from the wheel well? to wide on the inside? to low? or anything else you think might improve them, Thanks

I think they look pretty good. Where'd you get the material from? I probably would've bought black to start with if thats possible, since it's gonna be hard to find a paint that will hold up.

now for a few more helpful points....if you plan on painting them, they will flake and look like ass, too wide on the outside but could be wider on the inside and "ENGLISH, MOTHER****ER! DO-YOU-SPEAK-IT?" |

i would cut it following the body line to make it look cleaner, but other that that good job.
what about using rubberized undercoating or truck bed liner to make them black? that should hold up. |

These white ones are just templates for the black urethane ones I'm going to make. I had the urethane left over from making a snowboard box.

Right now there just bolted in there as you can see with the one picture, just has a nut on the other end.

Unless you're planning on buying 18x9.5" wheels soon, I'd move the flap in a ways. No sense in having it 3" out into the airstream when the stock wheels are tucked back into the wheel wells.

just cut the holes pill shaped like the RA flaps so you can slide them in and out as much as you want! also make sure to use some good sized washers for the set up so the bolts don't get pulled through.

Using "to" and "no" improperly isn't bad enough to attempt and fry somebody. Way to make yourself look like a tool.

looks great!
can't wait to see your final product! Just note that the RA flaps come with SS screw and everything else plastic so that there's enough strength to hold the flaps on through most things, yet if you back up to a curb or something and the flaps need to bend a different way, the screw would get pulled out from the plastic clip so as not to cause any damage. if you use bolts, you could possibly sustain some fender damage. ^ to be all technical about spelling, english, etc...actually, OP wasn't 'speaking' engrish, he was 'writing' it. |

they look okay - shape is alright they are made of a very stiff material and will shatter in the cold |

They aren't made out of very stiff material, Its Poly Urethane! This stuff lives in the cold. Its the same stuff you fine on top of snowboard boxes at ski resorts.
As for the hardware, I plan on getting some clips and screws, I just didn't have any on hand to mount them with. |

Like I said this isnt the final product, I plan on changing the density and thickness of the flap, but since I had this left over from this... I figured I would recycle! |
