Default The Danimal 2016 STi IAG/ETS 6266 Rotated Build Thread

I picked up my 2016 STi in Ice Silver Metallic on 2/26/16.

I already have the following parts installed:
Goals with these mods are 350whp and 400-420wtq on E85. Car will be on E85 very soon . Currently 450 miles on it as of 3.6.16.

As of 3.5.16 I'm on Cobb OTS Stage 2 w/ Invidia Divorced Downpipe and Nameless Muffler Deletes. The car sounds great, but to loud for my taste. I just purchased the Invidia Q300 and will install it on Wednesday.

Installed a bunch of the parts above on 3.5.16. All went smoothly with the help of WRXPerts in South Florida. These guys know Subarus like the back of there hands.

As of 3.12.16 I ended up ordering the Cobb Flex Fuel Kit without the FPR kit in it. We were still able to install everything and open her up. I already ordered the Cobb FPR kit and will install on Tuesday. Let's just say wow. Car feels great and loves E85. Should have the tune touched up on the dyno on 4/3/16 when JR Tuned is down here in South Florida and some actual dyno numbers. My guess is I should be at the 350whp mark. Car traction light goes nuts on 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd shifts now. Time to turn off traction control.

Next step is a EL Header, Up Pipe and FP Black Turbo. Going with the FP Black to help keep the TQ low as I was told this will be better as the motor is stock internals. My goal is around 450 on the FP Black with the stock long block. Next will be IAG stage 2.5 short block and mild head work. Then we will crank it up and see what the FP Black can do.

Other future plans include:
  • FP Black w/ FP Inlet
  • Grimmspeed Up Pipe w/ Turbosmart Compgate 40
  • Equal Length header (still deciding on brand)
  • IAG Stage 2.5 Short Block or higher
  • GSC Valve Train

Build is looking great! If you're getting rid of the nameless muffler deletes I am very interested as well.

Why'd you post the same thing in post #16 as you did in post #2?

Slow build period?

I edited 1 of my reserved spots. My first post is full and won't allow any more pic links. This is how I choose to do my build thread.

BTW, nothing for me is done slow. I have had the car 2 weeks now and I am already stage 3 E85.

So, I haven't been on here in a while. I have recently had a ringland failure at about 2300 miles. I have not bothered to compression test it, as I can tell from the smell and smoke coming from the AOS vent from under the car something is not right.

Basically, I have ordered an IAG Performance Stage 2 Tuff block that will be here end of the month. I opted not to go closed deck, as this is my daily driver and I don't plan on my high boost map to be over 550whp.

I have ordered a TON of other supporting mods as well:
  • Grimmspeed 38mm Ceramic Coated 3 Bolt Up Pipe
  • Turbosmart Compgate 40 40mm Wastegate
  • IAG Performance Black TGV Deletes
  • ARP 625+ Head Studs
  • FIC Fuel Rails - Black
  • Russell Fittings and Vibrant hose to make the fuel lines
  • FP Black Journal Bearing w/ FP Inlet
  • ACT Full Face Spring Xtreme clutch kit
  • ACT Streetlite Flywheel
  • Speed Density Kit

Sub'd , curious on why you went with the Torque Solutions TMIC over the Grimmspeed other than price

Torque Solution TMIC is great and others have made great power with it. The Torque Solution TMIC actually has a bigger core than the grimmspeed.

Car goes on the dyno on Saturday getting tuned by JrTuned. I'm hoping for 600whp.
